I thought hiring Orgeron was a mistake, I thought he was an idiot who couldn't maintain a program longterm. Every day he was here, I hoped I was wrong about that, and that he could build us back into a perennial national power again.

Just like you, I knew O's resume and thought it was terrible to hire him as HC. 2019 happens and I love it. Objectively, the best LSU Football season ever.

MK, I don't speak for you or Alt26 and other LSU MBB fans on this board, but I don't think we worship at the altar of Wade. We recognize he had good success at LSU and is the best coach we reasonably could have hired. He has room to grow as a coach being still only 43 years old. He loves LSU, LSU MBB and Louisiana, even though he's not from here. But, most importantly, LSU MBB will be relevant again, which is what LSU MBB fans want. The non-fans can just not pay attention, it won't be any different for them.

McNeese - The name Will Wade, not the coach - the name - gets credit

NC State - Didn't accomplish anything (NCAAT), but if he did, the Final Four two years prior under a since fired coach would get credit
