Why is a talking head employed by Disney/ESPN even weighing in on politics?

Because it’s encouraged by Disney.
That picture looks like the PMAC for a MBB game.
What’s the “damn shame” Stephen A? You like the Dem policies and the destruction of your race as a result?

Your “damn shame” is witnessing the Dems fall for the trap and risk of losing the midterms so more wacko policies get entrenched? Take the leap you know you want to and denounce the dems and convert.

I can tell you that it’s going to be underwhelming.

Who is funding this? State has no appetite, and NOLA is lagging property and sales tax receipts early in the Moreno regime (more population and businesses fleeing). There will be real challenges paying off the emergency $125M loan to make payroll. There’s nothing in the cards for a SKC renovation.
quote:

They want basketball kept down because they fantasize about college baseball getting that funding from LSU instead.

That isn’t happening. Basketball makes real money and players are elite much more NIL dependent. Baseball will be fine.

Kiffin talks to Saban all the time. Doesn't mean he's headed to Bama

Is Saban President at Bama? Some of you are mentally void with these analogies.
Don’t waste money on a renovation when the team will soon be gone.

The SKC is just a horrible arena notorious for cramped and miserably uncomfortable seats for an apathetic fanbase.

The link above is as complimentary as can be expected for the sad state of affairs.

I still haven't figured out what they (actually) did wrong.

Team is too white and Hughes comments about the love of America are fighting words to the left. You’ll never see the left react this way with USA basketball.

If The Pelicans could still get the Expansion Money, I would gladly relocate the existing team to Seattle or Las Vegas for their expansion team rights and a clean slate. We are currently in such a pickle that it will take years to dig out of this mess.

She could sell the team now and any prospective owner would pay the forthcoming expansion fee on top of the Pels valuation.

Even if the Pels aren’t Seattle or Vegas bound because of expansion, there will always be a better city looming (Nashville, Tampa) that would immediately increase the Pels value with a relocation.

NOLA has schools closed again this week with a pipe burst and water boil mandate again. 3rd world shite every day.

So you're saying there's a possibility they go 17-13 in the SEC?

It’s probably the floor but yes it’s possible. We look great but I bet you didn’t know our current ERA is worst in the SEC. We got swept by Auburn last year, trust me we’ll lose 1-3 SEC series this year.

Hellebuyck reminded me of Martin Brodeur with his performance in the Olympics.

Wtf are you talking about? Of course the saints will hang on. They aren't going anywhere.

By 2035 NOLA will not be a top 75 MSA market. Cities like Boise, Omaha, Greenville, SC have or will pass NOLA and have much better business prospects than a city that just lost Saks in the largest shopping center in the city. It’s dying fast as Teedy killed any hope and its death spiral is well underway.

quote:

It’s laughable the things they do to inflate the attendance. They’ve also quietly started budget cuts with some staff.

Ownership that lies to its fans and is trying to cut its way to prosperity is telling all of us the franchises are in the death spiral phase. Just move the Pels and see if somehow the Saints can hang on. Shough is offering just enough hope to keep people engaged with an otherwise clueless ownership and management structure.

I am sticking with 7

Bold. Would be an all time LSU best of 23-7 at worst in SEC play. I don’t think our starting pitching is good enough for 23 SEC wins…it’s more in the 18-20 range which is outstanding and a top 8 seed nationally.
They’ll lose 9-13 SEC games, 1-2 non conference, 1-2 SEC tournament and 1-3 through regionals, SR, CWS.

Call it 14 losses with a real natty shot again.

No doubt in my mind that he is playing through minor injuries that he would have sat for weeks for in NOLA. We were lucky to get 60 games out of him the entire season.

Nobody wants to be here and is why the franchise remaining here is just hopeless. There is no path to sustained success with current NBA rules. I like the Pels but want them in Seattle, Vegas, or Nashville so they can attract players and win.
Just an arse kicking all the way around as we don’t look ready for prime time. Plenty of time to turn this around but is concerning and shows we’re overrated.

The QB position is literally locked up for at least the next 4 seasons if the current room stays intact and Houston signs.

Ever heard of the portal? You recruit everyone year to year now.

Move the team. NOLA is a minor league city now.

Going to need all of it to overcome his just pathetic impeachment vote.

Not sure it will be enough. LA likes the Trump Landry MAGA types vs soy cuck RINOs.
