I would be mad if LSU agreed to anything above fines.

Suspension for Kiffin would be ridiculous

I doubt we'd entertain a post season ban

This is more about a unified front in the SEC

They want LSU to publicly say that rules are rules and that all programs are going to fall in line with bylaws and the Commissioner

And that will be that

Agree and I’d have no issue with amendment to the bill removing tax exempt status for Sankey’s temper tantrum.

Make his world miserable when every other conference makes him a pariah.

In other words, after LSU decided not to roster the guys in question, the SEC realized their case was total bullshite and over the next few weeks will quietly drop the suit and act like nothing happened.

Yeah an agreement that the SEC has enforcement is all they want. This would be the ideal situation.

I THINK that is how it is going to go.

Maybe they will say some kind of double secret probation surrounding this issue, but I do not think it will amount to more than that.

Would it not be in the SEC's interest to have proceeded today and just not voted us out tomorrow to consolidate their power?

Unless what the SEC really wants is control AND the appearance of unity however much BS we know that to be.

I'm sure everything from last night (bending the knee from LSU) onward has been agreed upon behind the scenes.

I'm still trying to find out what rules they broke to get penalized in the first place. We never rostered the players, we didnt sue the SEC with the players. The whole time Lane and LSU has said verbatim that we are in constant communication with the league about what they can and cant do.

Once LSU ensured those 2 players will not play for LSU this year, the threat of potential rule violation subsided.

So once again, Greg Sankey and the rest of the SEC went all sky screamer before LSU even did anything wrong. They threatened unprecedented action over "what LSU might do".

Seems like Sankey, the rest of the SEC, and SlowFlo who supported them all against LSU look like junior high girls.

Why haven’t we filed our own lawsuit against the SEC in federal court in Louisiana.

So Ole Miss has agreed to not play Trinidad Chambliss because he is not eligible by SEC rules?

Everyone agrees, right?

Further proof Finebaum has absolutely zero inside information. He kept insisting the SEC was going to come down hard on LSU—even after LSU added the two players and removed any doubt about the NFL-player issue. Somebody needs to call him out on his own show.
