I’d rather you keep up with redshirting rules

If he’s that great, he damn sure isn’t sticking around in college for six years. ??.

I’m more speaking to the idea of using the spring game as some type of important barometer, especially with that play factored into Myles’ stats.

a coach will never start a guy just so he doesn't transfer.

They start the guy that gives them the best chance to win. Period.

The only games where Max would be the difference maker are Bama, and maybe Florida. So you start the senior with a better arm, and work Max into the key games.

2 QB systems rarely work.

Which is exactly what will happen unless Myles underperforms and/or loses a game or two that we shouldn’t lose.

I’d be shocked if Myles isn’t the starter to kickoff the season. From that point forward, it’s all about producing W’s which will determine who ends the season as the starter.

I would Argue they only work when you have a starting QB and a dual threat who comes in for certain packages like Freshmen Tebow or 2007 RP11

Against Fla we needed a retard to throw a shoe

It was Florida, though. They fell for a fake field goal like 10 years in a row!

... and that really killed Brady, Manning, Marino, Roethlisberger and Brees as quarterbacks.

And with Nuss and Howard competing in 2022, I don't know if he has any guarantee to start. Nevermind if Brennan comes back.

Look at all of this inaccuracy.

Did you really just post a highlight reel as proof of accuracy?

That’s like posting a copy of only your correct test answers as proof you know a subject...

Misses matter too.

It’s just such a tough call, if you name max the starter Myles will transfer(as he should) for his last year or two of eligibility. This would leave us without a competent backup this season, a big risk especially with a running qb. If you name Myles the starter max will likely stay but who knows for sure, especially if he feels he is clearly better. Losing max is unacceptable IMO but there is probably less risk naming Myles the starter. If they are close I think the best move is to say the battle is too close to call and we need to see in game performance from both to make a decision. If Myles leads just name him and it should be fine. If max leads just wait till after sec games start to name him outright.

They only work when the QB coming in is an extreme threat to run. In fact more times than not the other team knows the person is coming in only to run and they still can't stop them. Max is not that kind of runner

If you feel like you need that run threat dimension to the offense to open up the running game and to just possess the ball, well then you should just start max. If I am a coach and I feel like a QB would be more efficient running the offense I want with the balance I want, I am not sacrificing that to keep my would be back up from transferring. If you are playing musical chairs with your qb's the season you wanted is over any way

I was sorta with you until your last line. If Max leads, you start Max.

You don’t hold your team back to try to “con” a guy into staying.

there’s always a correlation between dumb arse posts and using multiple exclamation marks.

It’s like some people are so used to yelling over everyone else at their sports bar that it carries over into their posting style

Based on what? I hope our QBs do light it up but based on last season we have to improve our completion % a lot no matter whois behind center. It will take improvement in pass protection, play calling, receiver performance, and even rushing to get this offense chugging again.

I, like you, think that will happen but I know mine is based on hope right now.

Been saying that since the ole miss game. He’s got that QB1 moxie that it takes. The personality, the confidence and leadership. Myles might have a great arm and all but his pocket presence and confidence are severely lacking. Max is shifty. Myles is a statue.

Max is better. And if y'all can't see it, that's your own problem. Idc what year Max and Myles are. Play the better player.

LSU has a quarterback controversy, of sorts.

Any of the current crop of LSU signal-callers is so much better than QBs from the days of yore, like Anthony Jennings, Brandon Harris, even Etling, that it's not even funny.
