If history is any indicator

We will be bitching about pitching until the sec tournament, then pitchers who’ve been struggling all season will suddenly start looking like Greg Maddux
Of those 3, I’d have to say Cam Newton

Pretty much an unstoppable force

We went on the first weekend, but I've heard the second weekend is the move. Less crowded and still a lot of games to bet on.

First weekend is much better

Far more watch events for a day of betting on games, and the vibes are much better with games ending essentially every few minutes, wall to wall and everyone has something on the line. If your goal is to be in Vegas to enjoy march madness, the 1st week is the week

Pool days are much better as well 1st week, a lot more eye candy
I dont care why the commercials have become so prominent but I wish they would go away

Don't like being reminded of all the diseases everyone has while I'm trying to watch a game and be not stressed about life for a moment

I think this is probably a lull before the Super Bowl and March Madness.
First week of march madness is the best time to go in my opinion

Great to stay at the end of the strip then, so you avoid the shoulder shoulder chaos at places like caesars, and the constant smell of weed
I think the story is actually true but the image is fake

, isn't your new coach being branded a racist?
You want to talk about branding issues, y'all have been bouncing around mascots for years because of such issues
You think he is working to get the best recruits possible and to have success on the field?

Bold claim

I’m taking a break from this place. Good luck LSU.

Probably for the best

If you get too bent out of shape by assholes, this is not really a good spot for you
seems odd that anyone would think someone would start a college baseball thread to troll UGA

Much less troll them on such an obscure data point
For anyone interested in attending the Mardi Gras festivities
Treated like this and act like this

like they’re the Bama dynasty.

The reality is this

Haven’t won anything since 1988

Figured out the problem
Tough call, I’d default to ND just because they have a guarantee to be in with a top 12 finish

But I think both are pretty safe bets

Give me the cold any day and you can keep our oppressive summer heat
no thank you

in Dutchtown? yeah, no... we'll get a ton of rain, then it will be really cold for a day or two...

Is it even suppose to rain that much under the ice line?

I was under the assumption it would just be a couple of crudy weather days with rain on and off, mostly light rain all day. Then throw in some cold
Are rmember the snow storm last year here

I was fun for a day, maybe 2 days, by day 3 of being stuck at home I was going stir crazy and was ready for it to be over

Saint X brew/BBQ place just closed last week. I find it odd how some places make it and some don't down there. Willa Jean and the Tacos del Cartel seem to do ok.

I lived in this area for a handful of years, you have to be trendy to survive. Outside of the Virgin hotel, there is not enough down there to really pull the crowds going to the trendy places in the WHD/CBD like Chandelier bar, Jolie, Pelican Lounge, Ace, at area. Dim lighting, music, maybe some fancy LED lighting. Maybe a light Tapas menu. Even these will eventually fall out of favor (can't imagine the leases are cheap at all either)

Hotel Bars are highly successful in WHD/CBD/Southmarket. Restaurants Just don't stick around there, Willa Jean is literally the only one. Lit gone, company burger gone, maypop gone, mopho gone, starbucks gone, cellar door gone, cloud 9 gone, Restaurant 34 gone

Picked the wrong player, Lebron seems like he would be a fairly successful multi-sport athlete

He needed to pick one of those lanky NBA guys that can't throw a football or would bounce a first pitch halfway to the plate

automobiles spiked up in price due to the shortage. However there is no longer a shortage and they have never gone back down.

Had to catch the car sales early in COVID. New car demand was very low because so many couldn’t work and were worried about money. Dealerships couldn’t give cars away. There were 0% interest deals being given out like candy through early 2020

The chip shortage and vehicle shortage when demand spiked up came a little later, started being really felt late 2020. Coincidentally enough it was the early low demand that kinda fed into the problem. Dealerships were cancelling orders like crazy because they thought the low demand would last a while, chip manufacturers were like eff it, we will shift our resources to producing chips for other products. Demand went up, not enough cars and not enough chips to fulfill the demand, and that’s when the prices spiked

re: Indiana or 2019 LSU?

I don’t see a sense in comparing pre-NIL champs to post NIL-champs. Especially those teams right before NIL and spanning back about 15 years

The fabric of what teams are was totally different, teams were able to keep players and sub in wave after wave of 4-5 star talent and just beat and out-talent you into submission. That talent was also highly concentrated in the southeast with a few exceptions. The days of stockpiling like that are all but over now

It is a new system now and in 2025, Indiana was the best at utilizing that system to put the best product on the field. That’s all that really matters
