re: So Arguably….. does Lane have better players at LSU
Posted by SammyTiger on 5/21/26 at 9:54 am to mattchewbocca
yes, if this roster was in year 2 of 3 of the system we wouldn’t even be questioning it.
we have 2 things going against us:
Cohesion - hard to build this without reps and it’s a very new offense scheme and roster wise
Leavitt’s injury holding him out of spring. (really a sub issue of the cohesion part)

we weren’t gonna win with 1 run anyway

it basically defeats the purpose of framing.
there is plenty of evidence good framing works because umps cheat based off the catcher’s glove

Buddy, you’re the one getting mad that Disney rounded up a group of Star Wars fans, surprised them with Pedro Pascal and then told people they surprised fans with Pedro Pascal

they even called them fans not park goers.
But again, you’re arguing about the authenticity of a staged photo op.

The implication isn’t about the Disney employees, it’s about the identity of the fans they were surprising. Do you not get that?
are they not fans?

The post does not imply they randomly bumped into eachother.
It says they were surprised by the Pascal, Weaver and Favreau.
Surprises can be planned. I know, I’ve had a surprise birthday party before.

You mean they didn’t run into Pedro Pascal in full Mando costume organically?

I think the note was “too comical” and up to that point they had only directed comedies.

Yeah he is doing better but he didn’t work from basically 2020-2023 after Solo came out

Solo is a decent movie. Every time I watch it, I think (man, I forgot how fun this movie was) and then forget about it for 2 years, lol. It’s solid entertainment, but disposable and feels unnecessary. I love the cast, though. I wouldn’t hate a couple sequels with that cast doing low stakes space heists and mafia shenanigans in the Galaxy. The actors who played Han, Lando, and Kira all had great chemistry together.
Great assessment I feel like all the press leading up to it was about how terrible it was going to be and how Ron Howard was desperately trying to fix it.
That and the fallout from the the last ST movie doomed it.
I really feel bad because it pretty much derailed Alden Ehrenreich’s career, and I thought he was good in this and Hail Caesar.

What’s nice about basketball is every once in a while it reminds you just how important being really tall is.

the big issue seems to be that it doesn’t really bush the overall story forward.
My biggest concern is that the movie itself has no real central plot.
Probably should have been a series but if it’s just Mando and Grogu going around doing bounty hunter stuff, I will be happy. that’s what I want. Just stories in the world. not everything has to be the world changing

I think for big action movies for sure
I think it is under appreciated that seeing something like a comedy with a large crowd who is also laughing enhances the experience.

Coming off losing, likely, the best two pitchers in college baseball, we had a mountain to climb in that area.
we’ve had to reassemble almost our entire pitching staff every season and this is really the first year it blew up on us.
I think Ty Floyd is the only weekend starter Jay has had 2 years in a row and he barely started in 2022.

4 season 1 episodes together would be awesome
I saw some twitter account say ur doesn’t pick up any of the storyline from the show, which is what I was hopping for because the Mandalor story line seemed wrapped up
