That shouldn't be a problem

It won't be as easy as it looks at first blush.

Feb. 28: @ Miss. St.-- should be a win, but they're actually pretty good at home

Mar. 3: @ Oklahoma -- a serious challenge. Don't let Oklahoma's record fool you-- they're playing better basketball now, and are a tough out at home

Mar. 7-- vs. Arkansas -- probably a loss

Inaccurate response. You cared enough to post your sentiment on this thread
Interesting and very challenging schedule. I have one complaint however: why is Ole Miss, one of our key games, so early in the season? That flies in the face of 100 years of football tradition.

Ole Miss would have been the perfect fit for our Oct. 31 game. We should go back to the time-honored traditional schedule of Ole Miss on Halloween (or a nearby date) followed by Bama the next week. Eliminate the bye for that week-- it's almost never an advantage for LSU anyway.

LSU doesn't have a pulse. If Ole Miss can't win this game, they can't beat anybody

Oklahoma actually settled down and played basketball tonight. And you got another win likely Saturday night

We should never lose to McNeese, Nichols, Southeastern, Northwestern or any instate school that's not FBS in football.

Mizzou punched its NCAA ticket tonight-- no way they'll be denied

McNeese is hitting the COVER off the ball! LSU pitchers are on holiday tonight

Nasty. All the damage done with 2 out. Yeskie needs to go back to the drawing board

U-G-L-Y. I hate it when a Tiger pitcher walks in a run. Get him outta there, stat-- terrible outing
They need to keep on keeping on with all the gimmicy freebies. It's putting butts in the seats of the PMAC, as shown in recent televised home games. More effective than the $2 ticket admission price.

The current vibe of LSU men's basketball has eerie underpinnings of The Real Hallman's (not McHallman) last two seasons as football head coach.
2013. Best LSU team of all time, which mysteriously went out quietly in two games at the CWS. That team was LODED!
In the words of a great philosopher named Mercury, "another one bites the dust."

Unfortunately for 2019 Wade didn't coach the NCAA Tournament games. We would've gone Final Four if'n he be sidecourt that tourney. Wade was the theme that year, and the next three as well.

thank goodness for the poli board. Best news aggregator out there

Yikes!
The LSU roster now isn't very good. When we had our full compliment of players (Dedan and Jalen) we were scoring 90+ points every game and beating the tar out of decent teams, like the two we demolished in Niceville to win that tourney. Will Wade even lost to Georgia Tech, a Niceville participant.

The current LSU roster is just a shell of what it was at the beginning of the season, yet the last three games, all against SEC first-division NCAA tournament teams, proved there's no quit in this LSU team. Each one of those was a game for 40 full minutes.

we have to pay millions to get rid of

What is this zeal to go full negative and "get rid of", "eliminate", "fire"? There's so much animosity percolating in the LSU social media tents nowadays.

Why not invest that millions in more talented players at all positions, and maybe replace deadweight assistant coaches (like Taz) with known recruitment gurus?
Basketball success isn't a linear progression, by any means. Look at Lamont Paris at SC-- terrible his first year, yet in the second season he finished 13-5 in the SEC, good for second place. Now they suck again, but they'll turn it around. Same situation with Dennis Gates at Missouri -- 0-18 two years ago after one respectable season, but now his teams are competitive, even better than average. You don't necessarily build an empire overnight. Sometimes patience and hard work are needed to succeed. Amassing talent and avoiding disruptive injuries are the right drugs for basketball coaches.
Curley Hallman famously said it "would take five years to become a winner" with this team-- but Hallman wasn't still around to see that team win in his "fifth year".

We need to keep McMahon ONE MOAR YEAR-- I think with the right amount of money, of patience, of talent these Tigers can win big. And fewer nattering nabobs of negativity populating social media, please.

CJJ wasn't successful at LSU, and underachieved with the personnel he had available during his tenure here. However I do believe with this team he could have reached "mediocre" level results--- 7 or 8 conference wins?
