Chambliss seems to have the will to make that team win. Somehow, LSU has to put this game away mid second half.
If LSU gets into a one possession game late, I think they will lose.
It will be important to weather the emotional storm early. Don't do anything stupid. Turnovers, giving up a big play, drive extending penalties, etc. Make them and their fans doubt they are up for this.
If you avoid those stupid mistakes, I think this LSU defense will eventually tip the scales.

It looks like our run defense is fine, but we don’t really know how good our secondary can be, because they haven’t been tested.
Our lack of a robust running game, minus the QB runs, is troubling.
Our receivers also seem to have trouble separating from defenders.
What concerns me is Levitt’s problems with turnovers.
If we can limit those, I think we win.
I certainly don’t want Chambliss with time left on the clock and us up by only 2, similar to the Louisville game.

Yes, but they had almost 500 yards of offense. That score is a little misleading because OM had a turnover going into the end zone and salted away the last 5 minutes.
Their offense had way more success than those 24 points indicate.
That said, this LSU defense is better than last year's group. Chambliss is playing better ball now than he did then, too. What I would like to see Blake and this defense do a better job of is limiting Chambliss' scrambles. He rushed for 71 yards last year. Need to cut that in half.

OM averaged a little over 8 pass plays over 15 yards per game last year. Louisville was dead even with them until OM was able to stretch the field in 2nd half. We limit them to 6 of less and I have to think we stand a good chance.
Don't think OM is going to drive the ball with any regularity on this defense.
Think we win by 10 or more if we can have a good red zone offense.

After 2 games LSU has best D in CFB. OM is ranked last in the SEC. They have a better QB and starting RB but we are better at every other position. We play our A game we beat the spread.

I think it's going to be really close. We're going to get their best shot and their crowd / atmosphere will be an issue. Leavitt is going to have to be better.

I think the team that contains the QB better will win this game. Both QBs thrive from exiting the pocket.
