Basketball?!?!?!

That season was over before it started.

quote:

The hard part is this....he wants it to be his 3rd and 4th year guys. But to get there and keep them from transferring they have to be playing early. You are at a disadvantage when you have a lot of first year guys out there against other teams with stud 3rd year players. Puts you between a rock and a hard place which he is trying to navigate. Jay has said many times that having an older team is an advantage. It is. Look at all the current good teams in all the sports. They are generally old

100% agree. It is a difficult balance. Also, how many coaches would have cut a finger off to have Curiel, Stanfield, Brown, and Milam returning to build off of?

It's easy to second guess how this roster was constructed in hindsight. The fact that Caraway, Simpson, Yorke, and Dardar were all misses is hard to overcome and maybe a bit of bad luck.

It feels like he is saying he needs to take these PG 10 guys that he has been recruiting and get them on the field early enough so that they don’t transfer out and stop relying on these PG 7&8 guys that transfer from online colleges.

Was having this convo in the box last night. Would you rather take your lumps with freshmen or failed transfers? I think that's an easy choice.

Now the counter is, if you portal correctly, you never have to take your lumps.

I hope a&m doesn't think there was malice behind that. I assure you, Rizy hasn't been able to throw a strike all season.

That kid is playing the wrong sport. Looked like Gabe Northern (throwback for the 40+ crowd) in the batter’s box

at least we got 2 hits. better than i thought we' d start.

And Curiel hit it hard. Can't let the pitcher settle in though.
Still looking for two out RBIs

Stanny in the 2?

This could be backed by nothing but emotions but I feel like he always does better toward the bottom of the lineup.

Crowe was good

The movie got too heavy-handed at times. The train station bench scene and radio interview/PR tour at the end were cringeworthy and awful.
I wouldn't put too much stock into that statement. Tim is a big troll and loves getting people riled up.

Someone asked him for money advice, and he said all of his funds are tied up in baseball cards and comic books.

ot gonna be a fun year 1 trying to get through sec play

and I'll bet they finish better than 2-16
With the portal, missing on an HS QB prospect doesn't have the consequences it once had. No doubt Haven has the higher ceiling, but he has a long way to go as a QB. Houston is going to start at LSU IMO
quote:

Sawyer Pruitt at ULL is going to get looks from SEC schools. He's been touched up a little bit recently, but still looks really good on the mound for a freshman and has the build to become a dominant friday night guy.

50.1 IP, 55Ks, 22BB, 3.22 ERA.

I saw him pitch a couple of times in high school. Unhittable. His issue is his velo. Not many righties are getting opportunities in the SEC these days, topping out at 89-90.

Ole Miss processed him from its recruiting class because his fastball never developed as they hoped.
Suffocated by midweek Southland pitching

Not that it's surprising but it is disappointing
quote:

base hit probably ties it now. Walk, wild pitch, error, wild pitch, walk. LSU baseball 2026 in a nutshell

“Most college baseball games are lost, not won”

I am reminded about that a lot with this team

Blocking the base without the ball but they never call it

CI? Not sure how Arrambide avoids that, either?

Yea to be fair the batter had no business swinging at that all.
