Been going to Tiger games for 30 years, and this was my lowest point as a fan

and this wasn't even a take over like UGA and TN. It just looked bad because all of the LSU fans left rather than witness Brian Kelly officially kill LSU football.

UGA and Tenner had a lot of fans helped by their obnoxious colors, but both fanbases circle an away game every year to "take over". With the way the SEC schedule used to work, playing in Death Valley as an East team happened once a decade, so naturally they would pick that as the game to travel to.

I've been to more LSU away games than I can count. LSU travels pretty well to most of them, but the only "take over" that occurs is usually Vandy. That 2019 trip had to be 75% LSU fans.
My wife was pregnant during the covid vax days. I was adamantly against her taking it due to the baby. In my mind, there was no way they could know if it was safe. Her OGBYN said it was up to her. He was non-committal; however, I do remember at one of her appointments, the nurse was going through some checklist, and when my wife told he she wasn't vaxxed, the nurse made some cunty comment and tried to make her feel stupid and a bad mother.

I figured they were covering the paper trail from their salary cap avoidance.
A lot of this goes on in the motorhome lot Touchdown Village. Send your friend there.
Kiffin is paid to win games at LSU. Not to clean up the PR mess left behind by the previous staff.

Retiring numbers in football is stupid.

PFT will have some kind of stupid joke, say it over and over again like people didn’t hear him or understand what he was going for the first time he said it, and you can feel the guys in the room want to say “oh no man, we got it the first time, it just wasn’t funny at all.”

PFT will say some clever stuff that does go over most of the heads in that room. Max and Hank are functionally retarded, and it seems like Big Cat isn't even paying attention half the time.

PFT needs to let the jokes marinade and trust that some of the listeners got it. He goes too far trying to get validation from the room, and then it becomes uncomfortable.
He's not a Daniels or Burrow, but his physical traits are as good or better than Chambliss's (not saying he will be as good). They are very similar in their ability to make plays off schedule.

It’s great for about a 2.5 quarters. If there’s any indication of the game turning into a run away win or loss, it turns into a total ghost town.

If LSU is up by 10 or more with 7 mins to go in the 3rd, people start leaving

People blame traffic, but it is the mentality of the fanbase. Championship or bust. They've tasted so much success; people are quick to move on to the next one. The CFP and destruction of the bowl system is partly to blame as well.

The overall makeup of the fanbase is much different as well. Not saying it is good or bad, but there are less "rowdy" people in the stands now. It is much more family friendly. For a big game, there are people there who need to kiss arse at their tailgate and need their social media selfie in the stadium. The outcome of the game isn't important.

Having said that, I do expect Clemson to be rocking in a month, but you can bet your arse if LSU is up by two scores in the 4th, folks will start filing out of there. It is sad to see.

Kiffin is going to call out the fanbase at some point.

The three guys in the graphic

Malik Blocton and Stephiylan Green second team.

I'd be more concerned if these two true freshmen were starting at DT if they weren't in the mix. I witnessed Blocton play good ball at Auburn. Green was serviceable at Clemson.

One thing that stands out about Anderson is his size. He's already built for the SEC.

I'm sure both will have some growing pains, but it is exciting to think that LSU may have hit a HR with these two adds.

I'm guessing with NIL, the idea of these guys staying in the dorms for camp doesn't really work anymore.

I'm sure LSU will put some content out on their socials.

Why focus on Indiana?

Beginning next season, won’t LSU’s non-conf schedule look pretty similar?

That should become the norm for SEC too, right?

Yes. LSU has begun lightening its future non-conference schedules; however, LSU goes on the road to play Houston next season at NRG. Then in 2028 and 2029 has a home and home with SMU.

Games Indiana wouldn't risk playing. Who can blame them? The CFP won't punish them for it. The Big 10 has too many teams, and the bottom half of the conference is a joke. You schedule weak OOC, get a year where the top dogs rotate off, and then you're allowed to go 1-2 against the only teams with a pulse on your schedule to make the CFP.

Sounds like Luke Tucker isn’t going to be here. Kinda shocked by that one since Jay loves his LH bats and he was already on campus posting videos of himself taking BP at the Box. Guess we needed room for Schmidt but wouldn’t have expected it to be Tucker.

Could have been a mutual decision since he's going juco. Go get a bunch of reps and come back next year.

NFL players have short careers. He had a great first 3-4 years and has lost a step and isn’t quite as good. Pretty typical, still a great career which isn’t over btw

And for the record, he had 174 tackles with the Raiders last season. 3rd in the NFL.
This admin has gone completely off the rails the past few months. Hard to watch.

But even with it passing the Senate, I'm far from convinced the House won't just fill it up with a ton of pork and make it unpassable.

that certainly possible, but with the university presidents on board, which are just an extension of political power in each state, I think it has a really good shot of passing.

What about the conference cap at 19? I can see the SEC and B1G wanting to add some teams in the future like Miami, UNC, ND, etc.

Obviously, that was added to prevent the super league. You don't get it passed without some protections for the “lower tier” P4 programs.

I'm not sure how relevant that is after what Indiana just did.

If the NCAA regains its power from this bill, I honestly think things will shift back to the Blue Bloods a good bit. An emphasis on high school recruiting will come back around, and everyone will have a level playing field because it’s just rev share out there. That might be pie in the sky. Plenty of programs will try to get around some of these provisions.
