Either he will or will not join LSU, but one of us is gonna pay him a bunch of money. At least at LSU it could result in a National Championship. No matter what we won’t have Brian Kelly as coach so I’m good.
Texas can run the ball that’s what helped Arch we couldn’t run or pass really a shi-ty offense in all areas. Plus Arch is 1000 times more mobile than Nuss but doesn’t have enough of an arm to be a great passer.

Times have changed it’s a win now atmosphere so you gotta go with the gunslinger. No time to wait on the rancher type to build up a herd.
Great post Gramps hope your Thanksgiving is everything you love! Don’t you miss the days when you could take your lever action rifle and kill a deer almost anywhere! You have been blessed brother, as we all are able to celebrate free and worship God!

He is probably not worth what he will cost. If he still has the fire in his belly to try and bring 'ships to a team for at least 5 yrs he is probably worth the risk.
He seems to make QB's better and at LSU and Florida he could have very good defenses so they could certainly turn the corner.
A mature, hardworking LK is worth the risk but my contract would be 8-10M with incentives (the market is in his favor).
The gamble is you just are not sure what Lane Kiffen you are paying for.

Well I never saw Nuss on a run where it looked like he was willing to take a shot to pick up a first down or score, may have happened but I hadn’t seen it.
Certainly did not seem to enter the year in good shape, maybe due to injury but one does have to question his work ethic.
Hope good things for him and all ex Tigers but glad we are moving on to another different hopefully fully engaged competitive QB.
Ask yourself, did you ever see Nuss run one time and look like he was not going to be stopped until he scored or got the first down--I have not. I did see that with Daniels and Burrow often.

Man that was like 30 years ago, certainly Steve did well when SEC teams were not ready for the forward pass as the primary weapon.

Deboer is a good coach. He just didn’t grow up watching the SEC nor has he coached or played in the SEC before last year. Deboer just hasn’t figured out yet that you have to be physical in this league week in and week out to win. Plus you can’t throw the ball as much as he does and win consistently. He has to learn that running the football is a must in the SEC. I don’t care how well you can throw it. There comes a time ever season inside the conference where you need to line up and smash mouth the ball to win because the passing game is off. Deboer hasn’t learned this yet. When he does though he will be a very good coach. If he doesn’t learn it he will struggle.
Yep, you are not winning the SEC without being a physical team at some point. LSU did it under Saban and Les, Bama got it together when Saban came and now Georgia is doing a great job of being Physical. Huge reason why LSU has been so bad lately BK had a soft approach to the game.
I don’t think you know how tough I think it is we all can plat this game.

True players must buy in I agree but the Coaches need to feel these players out when they are recruiting them and decide if this is the kind of player that will buy in.
I agree with you also that Georgia is winning football games mostly due to being a very physical team--I think Bama has lost some in that regards but nothing like LSU has decreased. I know LSU is NOT a good physical football team. It is tough for Coaches to get players that are making VERY good money to focus and practice and be physical but that is what we expect for the kind of money they are getting paid

No one is blaming the coaching ALONE, that said the roster is kinda a direct reflection of the coaching. They recruited the players and got transfers then proceeded to not coach them up.
Without a doubt this is the poorest coached team I have witnessed in 25 years. Without a doubt this is the least physical team I have seen in the last 25 years, also the absolute poorest OL I have ever witnessed.
Not sure what we did during the spring and fall camp but we are the SOFTEST SEC TEAM I can remember..

LSU OL lacks the nasty. Very physically and mentally soft.
BK has made LSU so soft. We just are not physical enough. Hopefully it will get fixed now that he is gone.

Great they’re making fun of our attendance numbers.
Look at the product on the field they are trying to sale---BK made LSU soft.
