Has anyone eaten here? Any feedback? Somehow they have infested my wife’s Facebook, so now she follows them and wants me to take her there. The problem is that we live just short of 3 hours away…
I’m not opposed to taking a weekend trip and making this one of our stops, but I would like to know if it’s worth it!

Everybody I know that has been down there has raved about it. I’ve got a few trips south over the next couple of weeks for camp drop off/pick up, and I was thinking about making a stop for lunch next Sunday. It’s a brunch buffet menu, but for $20/person, it looks pretty solid.

My wife and I went to the brunch buffet a couple years back and we thought it sucked. I've been told that dinner is better

Been four or five times and have always enjoyed it except for the one time we tried the buffet. I'm not sure it is drive 3 hours one way good though.
Probably the worst part of dining there is finding somewhere to park, especially during their peak hours. There is no parking lot per say and the store across the street has signs up about parking is for the store only.
I do recommend getting a reservation.

This exact scenario is what led me to going a few years ago.
The food was very mediocre.
She just said the other day "we need to go back there again"

Destination place, not a destination meal. It’s all well done and thought out but I’ve never had anything blow me away there.

I work quite a bit in Lafayette & have made the drive several times, including bringing work colleagues. I’ve never been to the brunch…don’t think I would make the drive for that, but I heard the Friday night seafood buffet was great. Their normal menu was good to me.

It’s ok
Need a reservation on weekend for sure
We ate off the menu
Did not do the buffet

Personally, I’d visit Bayou Teche Brewing, drink a few beers, get a Cajun Saucer Pizza of your choice, if you really feel the need to visit Arnaudville…

Not worth a special trip if going for breakfast. I was completely underwhelmed when I went. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t near good enough for the effort

show your wife this thread and save yourself the 3 hour drive

If you go then get the crawfish cornbread. The seafood is good but average. The atmosphere is great. But the crawfish cornbread was over the top. It's sold as an appetizer. I believe it is topped with some kind of bourbon sauce.. I enjoyed the hell out of that!
I wouldn't make a special trip though.

Be sure and go to Bayou Teche Brewery right down the road. It’ll make the trip better for you. Also hit up some local boudin shops.

Only been once on a Saturday (buffet) and it was fantastic!

Another 20 minutes to the West, and you can enjoy the chargrilled oysters and ribeye cap at Cafe Josephine.

Big Cup lunch
Bayou Teche beers after.
I could imagine worse ways to spend a Sunday.

Cafe Josephine is significantly better. Hell Bayou Teche Brewery is a better option. Booze and pizza and depending on the day live music.

I can’t seem to block out the major health violations that went down there a while back. I know things have changed, and I’m all about second chances , but I’m gonna wait a while longer just to be sure.
