They have a very good marketing team. We fell for it, but felt it was a huge let down.
Our favorite Sunday brunch spot in that area of the state is a place called Tante Marie's in Breaux Bridge.
The food has always been good, and they have different small Cajun groups playing music on Saturday and Sunday.
They make a good version of a Cuban sandwich. Boudin stuffed beignets are also a hit.

Bayou teche pizza is super overhyped

I wouldn't call it overhyped. Most of what I have eaten there has been very good. Now overpriced? Most definitely. I get the fact that you're at a brewery so it's to be expected, but we are talking $16 for a basic medium sized pepperoni pizza.

Outside of the national chain slop, where else are you getting pizza cheaper than that these days?

Lit Pizza. Unless you consider that slop too.

I have been before (because of the master marketing tricks).
This place is a master at making their food look way better than it tastes.

Isn’t Lit also a chain?

I have to agree with the common theme here. Social Media marketing caught the Mrs. attention, I agreed. One day when returning to Texas after visiting New Orleans we detoured for an afternoon lunch. Food was just ok. Not nearly as great as they make it look when viewing it.

Because it's a chain means it sucks?

My wife has a very good friend in lexandria and we live in Baton Rouge, so they meet there every so often to catch up. If you add in a trip to Bayou Brewing and stop to pick up some Cajun Meats, it's probably a worthwhile day trip

I felt like it was pretty clear that he was lumping all national chains together.

We agree to disagree then. I think they're probably better than any other chain I've had (Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc). Is it the best ever? Absolutely not but I don't think it's bad at all.
Now Giordano's Chicago Tavern Style? That was a badass pizza.

I love Lit Pizza. This has nothing to do with the point Y.A. was making though - y'all just went off on a tangent.
$16 is fairly standard going rate for a 14" pepperoni pizza at a local, dine-in onsite pizza place. Lit Pizza has outstanding prices because it is short order, mostly takeout chain, and relies on turn and burn. Quite different from a brewery or traditional restaurant.
Pepperoni pizza, or 14" cheese, pepperoni added:
Rocca: $18
Red Zep: $14
DiGiulio Brothers: $18
Reginelli's: $18.50
Rotolo's on Perkins: $20.75 (lord I hope this is just an online ordering app price)

We went in March—passing through around lunchtime. Brunch buffet was available. I wanted to try LBC because so many people on my social media had raved about it.
The brunch looked…not good, so we ordered off the menu. The food was fine. I got some sort of seafood stack and my husband got a salad. We were out on the deck and it was very pleasant, and the service was nice. Bloody Mary was a spectacle and tasted good.
We dont need to go back.

Oh crap. You're right. Sorry for derailing.

No. It sucks because it sucks.
