Day 6 of my battle with COVID
I’m late 30’s, normal BMI, and no significant medical problems.

Today is my best day, almost feeling back to normal. So unless I take a sudden turn for the worse this illness has been pretty benign. Mild muscle aches, low-grade fever, headache, and nasal congestion have been the chief symptoms. My wife (similar age and health) with same symptoms. My young children, both under 12, have had ZERO symptoms despite quarantining with us.

It is absolutely nuts to lock down everyone over this. I am convinced COVID has and continues to be hugely politicized. We need to protect our elderly and most vulnerable and get everyone else back to work and businesses open.

Was my exact symptoms in July. I've had sinus infections that were worse and lasted longer.

I am a physician and our hospital is currently at its peak with COVID patients. Every single patient is either (a) over the age of 65 or (b) have significant comborbidities like diabetes or obesity or (c) both. You just don’t see healthier people under age 50 being hospitalized with this.

I had the actual flu in 2010 and it was 10x worse than what I have experienced thus far.

Also around that same time one of my fellow residents (healthy girl in her 20’s) almost died from H1N1. Luckily she survived with just a tracheostomy scar.

The Dims were cooked and the most unexpected and improbable event in my lifetime occurred...COVID19. I said in March the Dims and Gaslight Media would hang this pandemic around Trump's neck in hopes of defeating him in November.......tens of millions of gullible Americans fell for the half truths, lies and misinformation.

80% of deaths due to “covid” are over the age of 65

And if everyone fit your demographic this would not be a thing.

But to post "hey I am young and healthy and this virus that does not affect young and healthy people did not affect me!" does not really add to the conversation.

You were, and are, an idiot if you believe that. This will kill over 300 thousand Americans in 10 months - and that’s WITH lockdowns and distancing. The flu kills about 40,000 per year with zero distancing. COVID-19 probably would have killed 600,000 Americans if we had done no distancing measures. 600,000 compared to 40,000? Those are some steroids!

And BTW, before you trot out the conspiracy theories, sure there have been a lot of phony CV19 deaths, but it isn’t changing the number by 20%, and that would still be more than 10 times the flu deaths.
