Decided to keep the Mido automatic. Put it in a wide band, to kind of mimic Brad Pitt’s Citizen Bullhead from “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Comparing American convenience store food to Japanese convenience store food is equivalent to eating shite and calling it steak.
If they only knew, correct? (I guess that’s why I have IYKYK in the title)
There are several items at the Family Mart and 7-11, that out shine nearly every fast food item in the US.
I know a lot of people just don’t like egg salad, but I could live on the Japanese egg salad sandwich at either store.

I'm in a Family Mart on average 2-3 times a month in Sendai and Tokyo and I can honestly say I've never seen a chicken sandwich in there, not that I've ever been looking.
The chicken patty is at the check out counter, clerk has to get it for you. In front of the hot box (where the chicken patties are located), there are buns prepackaged.
The “shirt” Godzilla is wearing in my OP, it the package the clerk puts the patty into.

Not sure where else they are available around the world, but the Famichiki at Family Mart in Japan is the greatest chicken sandwich.
A little image I created in AI, I’m gonna make shirts with it

ETA: I just realized who I replied to...of course, you're going to sell it.
Just like I did when I built my massive LSU collection years ago, I’m building my watch collection the same way, with OPM (other people’s money).
I sold my two 14kt gold watches last week for $1500, to put towards my Omega. I paid $600 for the pair.

Nice find! Do you plan on selling or keeping it a while?
Both, it’s on eBay already for $300, if it doesn’t sell, I’ll keep it. I’m buying a Seamaster 300M next week, so if it sells, it’s going toward it.

A pick up off Facebook today for $30. There were 10 watches, all junk except this Mido Multifort automatic.
The lady states that all the watches needed new batteries. Gave it a quick shake, been running since
Worth about $250-$300 from what I can tell

I’ve never realize how good Community Coffee is until now
Posted by theantiquetiger on 6/11/26 at 10:17 pm
I was never a big coffee drinker, I don’t even care for a regular cup of coffee even now. I couldn’t tell the difference between a good cup of coffee and a bad cup, they all tasted bad to me.
With that being said, I have always liked espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. A couple years ago I bought a Ninja Cafe Lux. I drink a hot or iced latte everyday. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve only bought Lavazza coffee beans off Amazon.
I bought a bag of Community this week, and man, the difference is night and day.
I’m hooked, but Community whole beans are about $15 a pound, and Lavazza is about $8.50 a bound.
Any other beans I should try?

bullshite resort fees
These are slowly going away. The new “all inclusive” packages are not charging this. I saw a package for Luxor, it was $500 for two people, included resort fees, three nights, a few meals (maybe one a day or something, plus one nice meal) and a show.
Last time I went to Vegas was NYE 24/25. The fricking resort fee was $40 a room per night (we had two rooms, we were there for 4 nights). WTF was the fee for, the pool wasn’t even open.

I sure as shite ain’t going. I have people telling me two beers and some chicken wings will run you over $50 on the strip.
Yes, if you are not gambling, everything on the strip is high as frick. I’m talking $25+ a person for a shitty fast food meal.
We did have “decent” meal on Fremont St, that was about $80-$100 for 4 people. It was a BBQ place, it was ok, basically a Sonny’s BBQ level food (I like Sonny’s BTW)

They are seeing major drop offs in visitors and revenue, due to the raising cost of visiting Vegas, plus with so many other states now legalizing land based casinos, on line book making, and on line casinos.
Will Vegas be dead in the next 25 years?
They are already offering things like “All-Inclusive Packages”, where you get a room, meals, and a show at a nice discounted rate.
The Strip isn’t what it was even 25 years ago when I went for the first time. Seems like Fremont St and the old feel of Vegas is doing better than the new super resorts.

The greatest night to go out in the 80’s. The line would be 2hrs to get in if you don’t get there early.

Just wondering
This may be nitpicking, but did “Henry Ford” bug the crap out of you?
Posted by theantiquetiger on 4/5/26 at 5:29 pm
Besides the announcer saying Fonte-net at the beginning, them calling Ford “Henry Ford” just bugged the shite out of me all weekend. They would never say just Ford.
I do not know why this drove me crazy.
“You are not Henry Ford, you are Henry Ford the second!”

I didn’t hear what the call was, I’m guessing it was on the throw.
