Add 1989 to that list too which was the beginning of the end for Archer.
So a new call “Un-Intentional Grounding”
???
Yet the offense gets bailed out. Seems like if the criteria of in the pocket, ball doesn’t cross LOS and no receiver in the area, it should be IG. Not a fan of how the offense gets bailed out on that.
Be intentional grounding? Inside the pocket and ball doesn’t cross line of scrimmage. Would be a rule to consider. Ref: Georgia v Florida

Hire McNeese AD and bring the General!

Imagine Will Wade back at LSU along with Saban!

Jesse Minter should be on the list!

Dudes defenses at Michigan were outstanding. He stopped powerhouses like Ohio State and Bama.

Currently def coordinator at LA Chargers. Not sure if LSU can get him away from Harbaugh.

24-2 Home record for BK, and...

Both losses were blowouts, Tennessee 2022 and Bama in 2024.

In each case the LSU offense was totally man handled, and the defense was totally over-matched scheme wise.

Winning on the road is hard, even in a neutral site game. It's this aspect that is costing BK his career. Specifically these 10 games:

2022: FSU, Texas A&M

2023: FSU, Ole Miss, Bama

2024: USC, Texas A&M, Florida

2025: Ole Miss, Vandy

A BIGGGG IFFFFF, but if he wins the 6 games in BOLD, the narrative is totally different. :banghead:
Must realize the game has passed you by. BK’s biggest deficit is he’s totally un relatable. The players don’t seem to respond well to him, probably a generational gap.

If LSU is stuck with him bc of his contract, then the AD must intervene and get BK to hire better assistant coaches. It’s the only way forward.

Sloan is not talented, and Baker would look better with a complimentary offense, yet can sometimes be too stubborn in his schemes against a running QB.

Let’s hope that smarter heads prevail.
What type of running attack requires the least amount of reads by the offensive line and running backs? In other words, how do you simply the approach to the point that these players don’t have to read and react as much?

Does this even exist?

As a former basketball player, I know that straight man to man defense is an easier ask of a limited experience team. Zone requires more reps and discipline.

Thanks in advance!

Since all of these kids were held back at least once in primary school, all reclassifying does is get them back on schedule to enter college at 18yrs old.

Like everything else they probably committed to showing advertisements instead of actual football.
This LSU team could easily be 1-2, with the offensive difficulties that clearly come from the coaching staff not trusting this new offensive line. HOWEVER, they are what their record is, 3-0. Great teams find ways to win even when they aren't playing to their potential.

I predict that this week the offense gets right and builds confidence, and the battle test of a true road game in Clemson will serve this LSU team well in Oxford. Incremental improvement from every guy on offense doing their job just a bit better will lead to extending drives and more points.

Then go into your first off-week 5-0 and get healthy.

It's going to be a fun ride Tiger Fans, enjoy these moments!!! :geauxtigers:
I'm pretty sure win % is exactly what gets you in the playoffs...I think, right? :geauxtigers:

When strong early in the season seem to stay that way. Where as Offense can improve over the course of the season, especially with a new offensive line.

Clearly the Florida game was the worst output offensively in some time, and I’m sure isn’t where the coaches want them yet.

However, other than the terrible throw Nuss made the offense isn’t losing games for LSU.

I do think calling more throws is needed early to get holes available for the run game.
Rank the three or four teams you most routinely route against when they don’t play your team.

For me with LSU:
1. Bama
2. Ole Miss
3. Florida
4. Texas 8&4

LSU will rush for 250+ yrds.!!!!!!!

After reading all the background on Clemson Defense and their rock bottom stats against the run in 2024, coupled with dudes for Clemson along their Dline designed for pass rush, I think LSU runs right at them. Imposing their will with three straight scoring drives, and forcing Clemson to go 9 in the box to stop it.

After that, air raid time!!!!!! This coupled with the LSU defense and special teams forcing a turn over each in the first half, LSU is up 35-10 at the half.

Second half you see the energy sucked out of the building with punishing runs and hits by LSU. Clemson literally quits and LSU gashes them with 10 to 15 yard runs consistently to put the game out of reach at 45-16 to start the 4th quarter.

Bear front with 3-4 to stop the run?

If Clemson goes 12 or 22 personnel how do we counter to have enough hats in the box to stop the run?

Imagine this lineup:

Mckinley, Guillory, Pyburn (Down 3)
Keys, Weeks (ILB)
Reliford, Payton (OLB)
Perkins (SS)
Delane, Stamps (CB)
Cooley (FS)

With the challenges at Safety, might this work? You have 8 hats in the box that can all tackle. Still lots of speed on the field with Reliford, Payton and Perkins to drop in coverage if needed.

Maybe too old school...

:geauxtigers:
I would like to see Perkins as spy on obvious throwing downs against mobile QB and rush 4, drop 6. It's his highest and best.
What groupings will see the field in this look from opposing offenses? Very hopeful that new portal talent at DE will be a big difference maker, along with a healthy Perkins.

For you coaches out there, help a non-coach fan understand how to best stop the run?

And an SEC charter member is in Atlanta, no longer in the SEC.
