It is incredible how our lives have become so easily monitored and tracked every minute by Big Brother. Aren't you excited?

our lives are already tracked. Anyone with a cellphone or credit card is tracked daily. They know your position at every moment. The sad thing is they don't use this data to help us.
Someone breaks into your car and steals stuff: no access to who that might have been. The PD doesn't care.
Murder!? Who was where when it happened? You never see this stuff pop up on crime stories.
All the information is used against us and rarely FOR US.

He mentioned a colleague was parked illegally for 2 minutes. He got a text that he was ticketed. The cost was about $40.

this is already happening in America with the flock cameras. coming to every city near you within the next couple years

Yep if you leave your home you are going to be tracked. Cell phone are already essentially government tracking devices, and the jokes on us, as we pay for it.
Driving you see it everywhere. Flock cameras, red light cameras, dash board cameras. Most big parking garages now, you have to scan a QR code or download an app. We all know government has access to the data on those apps.
You have arenas like the LA Clippers arena that now does facial recognition for entry instead of a ticket.
Even apartments now are having license plate readers or are requiring you to enter a gate code AND a building code. A friend of mine just moved into a new apartment complex, that complex was locked down. And here's the kicker, as a guest you have to download a QR code to register as a guest or risk being towed. The amount of surveillance is ridiculous.
The government can tell you where anybody is at this point at any point of the day if they truly want to. And I absolutely despise how we've made it to where you have to be tethered to your phone. You can't leave your house without your phone anymore, especially if you're going to an event.

This is already happening whether you like it or not and there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it.
OP: all of your personal info (and everyone else's too) is already in a government held database. What will you do about it?

Asks the same poster who said this in the same post:

AI is more self aware than this.

Pisses me off pulling up behind a car and seeing that the rearview "mirror" is a monitor. That and all the cameras on Teslas and waymos, etc recording everything.
I've been wanting to look into tinted windshields, as I've noticed some seem to be less see thru than others.
Let's hope Trump doesn't give in to China's wants to build a ton of shite here to get their cars into our market. Essentially a Chinese surveillance program.

I wouldnt say it "never" pops up, but its still rare. While "the government" may have our infirmation, this does not mean its readily abailable to law enforcement, thanks to the fourth amendmrnt.
I have seen phone location data used to prove a defendant's phone was at the scene of a crime, then the jury can use that as evidence the defendant was there too.
But the police have to subpoena that information from the phone company, which means they need evidence the person committed the crime, and a need to prove where the person was when the crime was committed. They can't just start the investigation by asking the phone companies for info on all phones that were in the area at the time.
Privately owned security cameras are a little different. If the owner is willing to share the footage with the police they can see it. But they still have to ask...they dont just have a big crime computer that can tap into any camera they want.
Not yet, anyway.

That QR code Louisiana republicans are forcing people to put on their front windshields instead of a brake tag will allow your car to be tracked in real time by readers at every intersection.
They no longer care about inspecting your car for operational safety. All they care about now is surveillance.

China is AI animated. Traffic is controlled by AI to run smooth.
Here in the USA you mention a new coffee maker and Gemini or whatever pops up with the best sale.
Wait until they read our thoughts.
Watch the China cities on AI Videos. If the main cacoon of AI goes down what happens? Does anyone have jobs?
Even self driving ubers. We are long long past big brother. It is down to stopping the democrats from putting the USA at the cuck table or leading...

You being a big leftist shouldn’t have a problem what mommy and daddy government decides for you. Don’t you having knowledge where all those seditious or treasonous MAGA’s are driving?

China didn't exactly invent this idea. They just like to take everything to the extreme. I see cameras everywhere, as it is. Feels like if I pick my nose near a window in the house, there's going to be a satellite in space taking a picture and sending it to YouTube to make a meme out of me.
People get mad about airport security and things like that, and whine about the Patriot Act, but I don't care about that near as much as I do about all the cameras. And yes, there are aspects of the PA that I don't like, as it is too broad, but I don't need people looking at me everywhere I go, especially when you add in all the hidden devices that have cameras.
