I will say, one of my business accounts introduced me to host a few years back and that’s one of the best things I’ve ever had.
Puts chicken and pork to shame IMO

Maybe you could tell me specifically what is wrong with halal
I did.
In my first post in this thread.
It’s sacrificed to a demon.

Of course halal food exists in the USA, no one is saying that is even a problem or the problem. It’s the blatant propaganda that is shoved in our faces every minute of every day
In what world is halal food shoved in your faces every minute of every day?

Halal meat is not, in Islamic teaching, a sacrifice to a demon. It is meat prepared according to Islamic dietary rules. The animal is slaughtered while the name of Allah (God) is invoked, typically with a phrase such as “Bismillah” (“in the name of God”).
There is a theological difference that could explain where the Christian got the idea: * Christianity: Jesus’ sacrifice is understood as the decisive sacrifice for sin, so Christians generally don’t practice animal sacrifice as part of worship.
* Islam: Muslims do have ritual animal sacrifice in certain contexts, most notably Qurbani/Udhiyah during Eid al-Adha, commemorating Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son.
* Halal slaughter generally: It is not necessarily a religious sacrifice. It’s primarily a prescribed method of slaughtering an animal so that its meat is permissible to eat. It’s very similar to what Kosher means to the Jewish faith.

the halal thingy is ritual driven. Point the animal in the right direction, slit the throat to bleed out and do not include certain animals/mollusks on the menu .
The whole process driven by long ago historical standards [2000 years] was to identify halal [forbidden] foods for health reasons. Pigs had trichinosis.
Another part of the halal ritual is to wear a glove on your left hand if involved with preparation or serving. Left hand why? Used to wipe your butt with sand in the desert where toilet paper did not exist. Bottom line , You can tell if it's a true Halal restaurant following 100 % of the traditions if your waiter has a left hand glove. This comment based on 10 years living in the Persian Gulf region.

How does cherry picking a bbq restaurant probably nowhere near you affect your life?
I hope one day people spend this amount of time improving their own lives and we can all be friendly to one another regardless of who they pray to. Ridiculous

Absolutely better tasting but pigs are easier to farm for food. A small host or lamb for Jewish or Muslim consumption can fetch 200-800 of dollars each. A lamb 300-800 for a food grade young one whereas a food grade pig tops around 300 and there is a lot more meat per animal

If the influx of muslims is problematic, then logically, creating a welcoming environment for them is also problematic.
These aren’t people creating a “welcoming environment.” They are business owners identifying a market need, and (attempting) to capitalize on it financially. Time will tell if this is a profitable venture, but that’s the great thing about markets.

A lot of people here agree with Islam minus the pork and alcohol stuff
I thought the republicans promised us Christian sharia?

It’s a topic on a political talk board on the internet.
Are we to have no opinion?
Or is it okay to comment so long as it’s “spreading love”?
It’s a discussion board.

And isn’t claiming to be the new “American” standard.
A business owner is making statements to try and drive up his business. More breaking news at 11…
You are taking one statement from one person to distinguish between kosher and halal when they are fundamentally the same. Just different religions.

“The Halal Guys” was a popular takeout in NYC.
They opened a location in the CBD in New Orleans in 2015-2016, and it was pretty tasty stuff. They seemed to do okay business. I never gave it that much thought. It certainly wasn’t anything political…

Goat humper restaurant you mentioned in NOLA is permanently closed.
Looks like southerners aren’t into goat humper food.
Poor Ghazi

People need to quit eating so much meat anyways especially red meat. Not good for the body, not good for the mind and soul.

This is just capitalism. I don't have an issue with this. This has nothing to do with the government, or any kind of mandate.

That guy is a fn meme.
The surge of "Why do you care so much" comments lately has to be at a five year PT high.
We are totally due for some, "Why would you let politics determine your entertainment choices?" threads.
