I don’t think it means they are desperate.
I do think it means it is a closer race than they anticipated it being and now people have to step up and give money.
I just don’t think it has to do with people being impressed by Paxton and rallying behind him. More of a “oh shite, we might actually lose this” preventative measure.

You’re confusing the point.
If Hockenson scores, no one really is going to be mad. But, it is not the correct play from a statistical standpoint. And being mad, about someone making the correct play is absurd.
Gunner Stockton did the same thing against Auburn last year, but the right move was to slide. So when we played Florida and he was in the exact same situation he went to a knee.

He didn’t phrase it well, but this was 100% taken out of context. I originally thought the same thing, but dug into it more and realized that was not what he was saying.

No, but I do think it’s the first time since 2005 that it’s happened.
Not exactly sure what it has to do with the running game. Feel like it’s way more situational with whoever is the current starter.

He was pretty well received at black churches this summer and at the Prairie View/Grambling State game a couple weeks ago.

Yes, and it’s a second degree felony (at least in Texas) if you do so.
Agree with you. Even though it shouldn’t happen, it’s more of a nothing burger based on what the system allows.

Honestly, it’s because it’s probably an 80/20 issue and you can fear monger people into voting a certain way.
Like, no one is transing kids at schools, but if you can convince voters that is happening than it’s an effective tactic.

The dolphins could score, get the onside kick, then score again. The Jets did this 4 years ago against the Browns.

I saw plenty of people, including members of media complaining about Hockenson sliding down before the goalline yesterday and saying that it was the wrong play.
This is the right move 100 out of 100 times and it’s kind of embarrassing that there is actual discourse on this play.
