The Pubs in Texas, especially Greg Abbott, recruited and welcomed them.

You wouldn't know the difference between a smoked brisket that is halal, kosher or other. So you could say you won't, but how do you know you haven't already?
This is the funny part. Plenty of people have eaten halal unknowingly, expecially if they have ever eaten at a "Mediterranean" restaurant, or have had a gyro sandwich.

For STAT cases, absolutely.

Not sure how familiar you are with the demographics of Texas, but there is a reason why those halal restaurants are located in those particular areas.

Not sure you're a Texan at all. I am. frick these people.
So you are not familiar with the demographics of the state you live in. Got it.
Thank your governor for the current state of affairs. This all happened on his watch.

I don't really see how this is a problem
Once again, a simple 5 minute search will lead to the obvious conclusion that they have much different standards about slaughtering and handling of meats specifically. And different muslims follow different halal standards. Definite safety issue.
Much like sharia law, they will ALWAYS try to institute it no matter where they live. They have no concept of assimilation. Almost like this is being done on purpose by some evil organization. Oh, wait, it's just our elected representative. Nevermind

I think the issue you are glossing over is assimilation appears to be a one way street. It is local and regional culture having to adapt to outsiders instead of outsiders adapting to the local culture.. it’s no different than hundreds of thousands of people moving into Louisiana and expecting things like traditional gumbo to be modified to their liking. It says a lot about the person to demand locals give up and modify their culture so that you can simultaneously maintain yours.
So the owner of a gumbo restaurant shouldn't offer non-traditional options in order to attract new customers?

Not when every bbq joint has to take on the additional costs of Halal.
Where in the world did you come up with that?
No one is forcing any Texas BBQ joints to offer halal options.
BBQ joints in areas where a significant number of Muslims live (Houston, Plano, Frisco) are doing it because it is good business sense. They are not being forced to do it.

Voluntary is just another word for involuntary just like "it makes good business sense" is code for, we're sending the Jihadis in if you don't make it halal. Meanwhile we all can eat pastrami sandwiches.

You miss the point completely. Any individual can prepare food any way they like for themselves. When immigrants start to demand unsafe and illegal practices on businesses (sharia law and halal foods) thats a definite no go. Should be for anyone who is not Muslim.

It's funny how much some of the people in this thread sound just like the antifa-terrorists in Portland that put the white couple operating a taco stand out of buisiness for 'cultural appropriation'.
