What specialty did you end up selecting? Or just GP?
Don’t give too much info. We have a crazed loon in our midst.

I don't really see how this is a problem
Then you've never looked into what constitutes something being halal. Aside from what is literally the ritual sacrifice of the animal in the name of Allah (read: you are literally supporting Islam by eating halal BBQ), they have to have completely separate setups for halal and non-halal (including things like seasonings).
If they aren't lying about their halal infrastructure, they are going to be charging quite a bit more than your average BBQ joint unless they drop pork from the menu.

I’m not a fan of many of their staples. Greek is out for me too.
Well, I am from Lafayette. We will pretty much eat anything that doesn't eat us first and even then, there is gonna be a fight.

Tomatoes nope
I once read the diary of an Irish fellow who was conscripted to fight in the union army. He claimed southerners were devil worshippers because we ate "devil's fruit". That fruit was tomatoes.

Not sure if they are officially halal.
Probably not. I am sure I ate it once or twice in Kosovo, but those aren't real "Muslims".

Try going to a hamburger processor or hot dog processor. You will really regret seeing that

Russell Long once said that two things you want to avoid seeing made: laws and sausage.
I had two fraternity brothers years ago who spent their summer working in a chicken processing plant. One of them to this day avoids chicken.....hates it.
