I think Medicaid will pay for nursing home if they have absolutely nothing.
If you live in a small town with few options, get that estate in a trust and let the Medicaid roll.
If you live in a moderate size city, you don't want yourself or any of your family in a facility that will accept Medicaid. Plan accordingly.
My parents were self-insured, lol( I can say that now) My dad spent 18 months straight in a nursing home 2013-2014 at $7000/month. My mother spent 2013-2022 in assisted living. Her facility started at $3500/mo in '13 and ended at $5500/mo in '22.
My mother ran out of money and assets towards the end of '20. I paid 16 months on my own without the help of three other brothers.
I'm guessing my dad's rate has doubled and my mom's is 20-30% higher now.

As a pediatrician I ask families to trust me when I speak about polio, hepatitis, varicella and hpv.
Today, I trust you as much as I trust your employer. A doctor's opinion was highly respected because through history you were independent. You sank or swam based on your correct or incorrect advice. Eighty percent of you guys are going to parrot corporate or be fired.
As of January 2024, approximately 77.6% of U.S. physicians are employed by hospitals or other corporate entities, with over 44,000 practices acquired by these groups between 2019 and 2024. Corporate entities (including private equity firms and insurers) and hospitals have seen a massive shift in employment, with roughly 55% employed by hospitals and 22.5% by corporate entities.
We were just under 70% before covid, which is still stupid high.
Are you in the 20% or the 80%?

You mean in the 2/3rd white population city of Lexington where the the Republican mayor was elected with 63% of the vote in 2018 and then 71% of the vote in 2022?
Doesn't strike me as a city that has been successfully cramming Soros funded prosecutors into the DAs office. The city used to swing democrat but not exactly the land of woke you are acting like they are.
The mayor is a nonpartisan office. She was horrible during covid. She is a registered nurse and Lexington had restrictions as long as any blue city in the country. She is a registered republican, but won't tell you if she ever voted for Trump.
Fayette County voted for Kamala 58% to 40.
Fayette and Jefferson are why red state Kentucky has Beshear.
Linda Gordon thumbs up from politico.

I planted one when they were really popular in 1994. Ice storm in 2009 it lost a 1/3, but I didn't give up on it. It was a broomstick when I planted it and I was stubborn. It would fill back out in five years and a wind event would take out some more. Rinse, repeat that cycle until it's final demise in 2022.
My next door neighbor planted six along his driveway of a heartier variety in 2001. I don't think he has ever lost a branch.

I am the one in this scam.
I am usually the one to spot this shite and alert my family, but I guess my guard was down.
Mine went down two years ago. I had three kids with cars in my name. The scam was an overdue toll over a bridge that I knew my kids had used. I went so far as to pay it and entered my card. I didn't clue in until they said the card wasn't good and wanted another.
Jeez.
Of course I canceled the card. You can additionally have Equifax, ect. flag your report that a new creditor has to verify your identity before opening an account.
How stupid.

Voter Guide
He's raised about as much cash as Massie. I don't think it would be a slam dunk. Massie wouldn't win in my end of the state.
