Coal down in China?

I'm sure glad we got rid of those nasty, reliable coal fired power plants.

Every decrease on the west's end was what increase multiple on china and india's end?

We could go to zero coal and it wouldn't make any difference.

NBC lost regardless of the count. They get paid after the super bowl when the viewer count is confirmed. That's 25 million viewers lost that lowers their profits.

I had 5 couples watching my feed. Make that 25000010.

It will have an impact. When the broadcast network pushes back on the NFL's choice of entertainment, then the customer will eventually win.

Whatever loss will be made up on the international market, excuse me Chinese market. CCP will more than make up for any losses, just like the NBA.

I'm going to guess that your daughter didn't meet his parents anonymously. Real life isn't this message board.

I'm also going to guess your socials are just as fricked up as your posts on here. The mom and dad googled the parents of the girl the son is seeing.

And get this, we have one of the usuals in here griping about water pollution, in a thread about climate, when lithium mining for EVs is a HUGE polluter of water.

It's the new talking point. She's changing gears, just like the WEF. Last year they came out and said climate change was too complex to move the issue forward anymore.

Remember global warming made the jump to climate change? It's time for the next pivot. Well there seems to be a lot of people that want this ai thing to happen and they need reliable power. Power plant talk is done.

These people still want more means of control, so water is wet.

This year's theme is Blue Davos, The Year of Water.

2026 Blue Davos

If you're a lefty and still pimping Climate Change, I don't know what to tell ya.

You missed the memo.

The left hasn't talked about water quality since the 80s, but here we are.
They are a standing army allowed to organize, mobilize and terrorize our society within our borders.

They are just an idea, though.

When are you gonna drop Magnum on us, buddy?

California took about 38 days to finalize the counting of mail-in votes for the 2024 presidential election, with the official results being certified on December 16, 2024.

They had to keep adding votes to get the nation's popular vote closer to undo the mandate.

If your kids follow that pattern, you will be in your 80s before any grandkids.

My dad was 41 when I was born(#3 of 4). I had my first at 34. My kids never knew my dad in any resemblance of his prime. He passed at 86. They only knew him as old and asleep.

Then the double whammy of kids in college and parents in assisted living/nursing homes.

It's not ideal.

Wait until you find out that the methodologies we have been using for decades in thousands of public schools across the country don’t teach students how to read.

Things were shitty before covid, but that experiment has really ramped up stupidity.

My wife teaches 5th grade at a rural 90% white, 5% black, 5% Hispanic. Her current class was in kindergarten when covid hit and they stayed home for the next six months.

These kids learned through a keyboard at home and when they made it back to school their teachers were wearing masks. A full 25% of them can't read and nothing is being done about it. The system is teaching the same curriculum they were seven years ago. They are just going through the motions. There isn't time to backtrack. They have to keep moving forward.

It's just sad. I think it's the feature, not a bug. If we are all stupid, does it matter who is properly credentialed or who occupies each job?

On the other side of my town was a struggling Food Giant. A decent size grocery of the 70s. Ten years ago, the owner devoted half of the space to Ace. It is all one open store. It is unique and I like it, but two local hardwares, two Lowe’s, Home Depot and a Menards are closer to me.

The grocery side still has a deli with really good fried chicken though.

Maybe I’m missing something but why does it matter if it was a phone or body cam?

It doesn't in the big scheme. The vid is real, so how it originates doesn't matter.

I wouldn't have the presence of mind to hold the phone, draw my weapon, fire and then grab my phone from where ever it fell to film the aftermath.

My explanation since I know he had a phone is that he was filming with two devices.

But, in the end, it doesn't matter.

The cellphone would be easier to text vid on the spot.

Wealthy out-of-state retirees will singlehandedly keep CA’s economy afloat. Real estate in California is extremely desirable and will always keep the state a hot commodity for retirees.

Really? How many do you know that retired to Cali? Living out there for the last 40 years and riding it out to the end, I understand.

U-Haul receipts disagree.

I moved an at the time 80 yo uncle in '22 out of Sacramento and a 83 yo aunt out of Pasadena in '24.

Each had been out there since the 1980s.

It's been at least 15-20 years since I knew anyone who took a job, much less retired in California.

How about no.

Who are these f-ers to cancel anything?
Second or third grade myself and I ruined it for my younger brother. It was really shitty of me.

My kids are now 21 and 23. They were coming up when the Elf on the Shelf just started boiling. My wife was very convincing. All of the letters. All of the gifts. All of the rules.

Our friends back then had slightly older kids. Their oldest was all in also. He didn't figure it out on his own. He was in middle school when they broke to him. That kid was devastated.

Our kids were on the same path. We broke it to them before they hit middle school.
I'll agree with that, but this is her story:

She openly shares her struggles with MCAS and other health issues, including a ruptured ovarian cyst in 2019, to raise awareness.
No one except the usuals will give a shite about this a week from now.

Hell, outside of TD, I only see Dem outlets talking about it now.

Got eeeeem?
I thought you had posted a spoof.

Nope.

Obama can't read the room, but I have seen this one before.
