Right now, and historically but I wonder why we don't raise more of it. It's good meat. Probably just as tasty as pork IMO.

When I was in Toronto, most of the middle eastern restaurants had halal signage posted. What's incredible is how many and quickly the food joints open. They put mattress warehouse to shame.

I get that the influx of Muslims is problematic. A restaurant that offers Halal options? Not even the least bit concerning.

If the influx of muslims is problematic, then logically, creating a welcoming environment for them is also problematic.

If you don't want pedophiles in your neighborhood, then a restaurant with a giant banner saying, "Pedophiles welcome here," is obviously problematic.

Muslims are not compatible with America. Anything that gives them support is problematic. Americans dumb enough to overlook their own words saying they will conquer America and implement Sharia law are problematic.

So um dumbfrick, you against kosher food being available as well? Kosher is even more restrictive. I don't see people bitching about places that are strictly kosher.

I don't see Jews raping and murdering all over the West. Maybe the problem isn't actually the food, but the people who eat it. Wouldn't that make more sense?

It's too late, whoever allowed this shite to happen needs a size 12 Tecovas Roper right up their arse.

Nothing speaks louder than that Trans loving closet Homosexual Talarico even being considered in Texas.

Can't recall seeing goat on the menu of any famous Tx BBQ place, but I used to pick up great cabrito in front of a little gas station near Kingsland. If you want a consistent supply of good goat meat and mutton a Halal butcher is pretty much your only choice.

Man, you are dumb. Ever heard of brisket? It's the Jews that popularized brisket. Jews don't eat anything near the arse, brisket comes from the front of the cow. Jews in this country made brisket as American as Apple Pie and baseball along with all beef hot dogs like Nathan's that is a focal point EVERY 4th of July on Coney Island.....and ESPN.

Wouldn’t consider going to a bbq joint that doesn’t serve pulled pork or ribs. I can buy overpriced brisket anywhere else if I feel like overspending for dinner.

That's not 'Texas' Barbecue at all. That's a headline. Texas doesn't give a frick if some "Muslim pitmaster" is making headway.

Go frick themselves. I hope the marketing spreads and all they're left with is Muslim a-hole customers.

Not sure how familiar you are with the demographics of Texas, but there is a reason why those halal restaurants are located in those particular areas.

If you have any complaints, address them to Greg Abbott. He encouraged the migration of Muslims to Texas.

So you have trouble separating food from the politics. Miserable life you lead.

You DO know that Halal food isn’t a style or flavor or “spin” on cuisine, right?

Let’s do some comparisons… Mexican? Peppers and cumin. Japanese? Seafood, oyster sauce, fresh. Italian? Tomato sauces, oregano, parsley. Thai? Spicy and peanuts. Indian? Curry…

What is halal? It’s not a flavor profile or regional style, it’s ritualistic sacrifice to a demon.

Halal is the Muslim version of kosher, once again highlighting how Judaism and Islam are very similar is multiple respects.

And you’re an asshat.

Yes- there are foods that Jews eat that the rest of us like too.

What you don’t seem to understand is the difference between “Jewish cuisine” being absorbed into the general American food culture vs Muslims declaring that Halal (a sacrifice distinction, not a flavor or style profile) is “American”.

Halal is not a cuisine distinction it is a cultural/religious distinction- one that is distinctly NOT “American” (yet).

Go to a muslim country and see if you can find a BBQ place that has sliced sausage on the menu. Let me know how that works out.

I fail to see what that has to do with this BBQ place offering Halal options

Yet Jews aren’t on the news stating that Kosher is “American” as apple pie.
