There was a thread here a few weeks ago regarding the jet air show where a plane crashed into a crowd of people. It was a pretty long video someone filmed as it happened. And he was walking around recording the aftermath. Body parts were everywhere. It was not a pleasant scene.

Have you seem the videos of Afghans clinging to the wheels of our transport planes an plummeting to their deaths? That’s pretty sufficient evidence that this evacuation is a failure.

The optics would be bad. Very bad.
I don't think a crowd of people is going to have much impact on a large military transport landing. Or taking off.
