Tennessee Undecided At Quarterback Ahead Of Arkansas Game

USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect
Tennessee coach Josh Heupel has not decided who will start at quarterback for Saturday’s road game against Arkansas.
Freshman Faizon Brandon started the Vols’ first five games but was replaced by George MacIntyre during Tennessee’s 24-14 win over Auburn this past weekend.
MacIntyre completed 8-of-10 passes for 86 yards after taking over and helped Tennessee pull away in the second half.
Heupel said Monday that Brandon was dealing with an injury that affected his play against Auburn.
“We’ll find out as the week goes here,” Heupel said. “George came in and did some really good things. Faizon obviously wasn’t at his best dealing with, you know, getting injured in the Texas game. It was affecting his game. We’ll go through the week here. You’ll find out Saturday.”
Tennessee enters the matchup 4-1 overall and 1-1 in SEC play. The Vols will face Arkansas on Saturday in Fayetteville.
