Then I realized the Catholic Church not only harbored but made a safe haven for pedofiles.
The easiest way for a dipshit nobody likes to score cheap up votes from people who otherwise think you suck.

I've done it once in the last 10 years and it was a few weeks ago. I had to take my son to 5pm Mass when everyone else went that morning. It seemed like a rare chance to avoid the traffic since it was just the boys. My wife would never.
It felt a little trashy.

A 19 year old with cigs and drunk in public gets a mugshot and orange pajamas these days?

Ed doesn't do the racism bit as far as I know. His theosophy takes over sometimes.

re: Relatively speaking, why does no one know much about/care about the Easter Bunny?

The Christian celebration of Passover and the resurrection is based on a pagan holiday?

People don't like them coming here to work. But why?
My biggest gripe is they are fiercly nepotistic.
I only gripe because it's seen as immoral and sometimes illegal for me to be the same way.
I was mostly curious what the requirements were for being beautified and cannonized in the Orthodox faith.

Same reasoning as certain texts are considered Apocryphal and didn’t make the cut as cannon, but others did. Nothing new under the sun…it was mostly political and couldn’t challenge the existing dogma.
This comparison eludes me. Can you elaborate? Maybe a more direct answer would be easier to follow, if you are able.
My gut speculation: Santa has roots in Christian history (Saint Nicholas was an actual guy) so it was more easily integrated into the Christian culture. The Easter bunny is rooted in pagan lore. With Easter being the most important event on the Christian calendar, my guess is it was never embraced as formally as Santa.

How am I supposed to know the answer to that question? To be honest I have never given it a seconds thought whether Jesus was Gods biological son or not.

Do Orthodox churches have requirements for sainthood similar to the Catholic church? I'm curious why the RCC wouldn't recognize certain people as Saints who are recognized as such in the Orthodox faith.
