I'm speaking more in terms of biblical evils, and less in terms of the caricature version you tend to focus on.

I believe the devil has a lot of power over people these days. And I don't get that from memes.

Not a surprising opinion. I doubt it's more that than sincere observation. Every church, synygogue, message board, political ideology, all speak about the evils they perceive are running rampant these days.
