Question for the biggest Trump supporters out there - Iran War

Those of you that are big time MAGA / Trump fans… how do you think he is doing with Iran? Is everything great, or is a change in strategy needed?
Where do you think this ends up at year end?

Everything is going to plan, exactly how Trump has foreseen it. Just hold on tight, Patriot. You're going to like what happens next. We're still in the prologue

I don't have a crystal ball on how it will end, but so far it seems like a mess.
I believe a good outcome in Iran would require regime change and I'm not sure we can force that without a ground war, by someone.

Are we up to 13d chess now?

I'm not rooting for Trump to fail here—I want the U.S. to succeed. But I don't see a coherent Iran strategy.
If the objective was to destroy Iran's nuclear program, say whether that was accomplished. If the objective is negotiations, explain what concessions are being sought. If the objective is regime change, be honest that history shows that's a much larger and riskier undertaking than airstrikes.
Instead, the messaging has been all over the place: threats of overwhelming force, announcements of negotiations that Iran publicly disputes, then more military posturing. That's not strategic ambiguity—it's strategic confusion.
By year-end, I think there are three realistic possibilities:
1. A negotiated agreement that significantly limits Iran's nuclear program (best-case, but uncertain).
2. A prolonged cycle of proxy attacks, sanctions, and intermittent U.S./Israeli strikes without a decisive resolution (the outcome I'd currently consider most likely).
3. A broader regional conflict if diplomacy collapses or either side miscalculates.
I hope it's the first. Right now, though, the administration hasn't clearly explained what "success" actually looks like, and that's the biggest problem.

I thought we had “obliterated” Irans nuclear capability when trump dropped the big bombs in June 2025. I thought that was terrific
Then in February when he said we needed to do more, I lost trust in just about all that he says on the Iran war.
I think he clearly mis calculated.
I expect that we’ll eventually end it and Trump will claim victory no matter what the reality is.
I will still not believe him.

He fricked up Iran. He was sold a bill of goods by Israel. He probably wants to bomb Netanayhu. I can't believe he fell for it.
They (Israel) told him he would be lauded as bringing a new peaceful Middle East for all! He swallowed the hook.
This far he's been smart enough to avoid any sort of point of no return escalation but Israel still pushing I'm sure.
It was an anti maga anti America first decision and he's paying for it. It was just colossally stupid and he bet his whole second term on it.

Everything about how he has handled Iran is so not Trump-Like (well except the tweets$
Did Israel really find a way to trap him by his own ego (heralded a hero for “saving” the ME)

Honestly have no idea what's even going on in Iran. All the media outlets report conflicting things.

Big Trump fan. Not a fan of the Iran mess.
Also not smart enough to know what the “right” thing would be… I just know whatever THIS is doesn’t seem right.

I think the war is 100% needed. No one else was going to do it. That being said, here’s where I think it’s lost momentum.
- not killing regime comms. They still have eyes and are using Russia/china. Shouldnt happen.
- not killing regime propaganda and inserting our own. This is one of the biggest things keeping them in power
- not continuing decapitation strikes. Use Israel here.
- trusting/attempting negotiations with a regime whose existence is bent on destroying your way of life.
My two cents.

For more than four decades, successive administrations—Republican and Democratic alike, allowed Iran to expand its regional influence while continuing to support proxy organizations responsible for attacks that killed American service members overseas. I supported the military campaign because I believe it was necessary to degrade Iran's ability to threaten U.S. interests and our allies.
My concern is what follows. History has shown that when military pressure is lifted without achieving lasting strategic objectives, Iran has often used the opportunity to rebuild its capabilities, rearm its proxies, and restore its regional influence. If the goal is to eliminate the long-term threat, sustained pressure and a clear end-state are essential. Otherwise, we risk repeating the cycle of temporary gains followed by renewed aggression.

So did our military screw up the planning?

None of us have high enough clearance to have an educated opinion on matters like this.
I didn’t jump on Obama for all of his drone strikes.
I refuse to hand our country back over to commie leftists because of any anger based on ignorance

There is no question about it. All you need to do is look at the things Trump was saying in the early days.
Someone convinced him he could bomb Iran into regime change in 6 weeks. There is no way Israel believed this. They told Trump this lie to get the ball rolling.
The only question in my mind would be , was Rubio this stupid or was he a part of the let's just get the ball rolling gang. Where did Hegseth fall on this?
Vance is being a team player but you have to believe he had serious concerns about this politically and militarily and likely told the President.
Trump thought this was going to be a Venezuela deal. He stepped into the realm of thinking he could shape anything in the world anywhere he wanted. He should have known better.
The Middle East isn't getting fixed. Our Iran policy should revolve around maximum surveillance and dropping something to keep them in a box when necessary like the first raid last year. That was a winning strategy.
