Yes….with Pete Hegsteth at the helm and top generals fired.

Those of you that are big time MAGA / Trump fans… how do you think he is doing with Iran?

1) i support his strikes on Iran. Waiting until Iran has a functioning nuke is idiotic and more destructive in the long run. And yes, i believe Trump has access to more information than all of the PT board combined to make that assessment.
2) I too, get aggravated by the constant "war on/war off". I think, his efforts to be transparent are also causing him some heartache from the internet warriors. If he'd stop updating the public every 5 minutes we ink a new deal, then he'd be better served.
3) I think that the situation in Iran is way more complex than what most PT board members "know". From listening to JD Vance talk about it on Rogan, the issue appears to be that the current leadership does not have complete control over the IRG or the proxies. So they ink a deal, such as letting the ships go through the strait. Then, they realize "oh shite, that was our only leverage point" so some iranian retard fires off some drones or missiles and everything resets. This is somewhat self induced by Trump eliminating 2 layers of Iranian government. However, the first 2 layers were hard liners, and the current group seeking leverage, are also comprised of a few hard liners.
4) Iran is also trying to hold out until November because they KNOW if the Democrats win, then the hardliners will take back full control and this whole thing starts again. I think there are many here who don't look that far ahead.
5) Trump is not putting troops on the ground. Again, listening to JD Vance, a number of arab nations have offered to help the rebuilding effort in Iran, once a secure deal is in place. But, as stated in point 3, the hard liners are the ones ruining that.

Where do you think this ends up at year end?

I don't know. I think there is real progress getting made, but the internet warriors here have more knowledge than the Trump administration, apparently. So we get bombarded with the doomsayers. I'm hopeful that it will all be straightened out. I would prefer we just not know about it until the other Arab nations have started going in to help rebuild.

you people are so blind. can you not understand the war industry controls all of it? you don't see a coherent iran strategy bc you so easily believe everything they tell you.

I'll echo the comment below on "they". "They" is the President of the United States and his cabinet. If we can't ever trust "they" on a war that's costing billions and American lives we're in for a world of hurt. Maybe we are already.

I expect that we’ll eventually end it and Trump will claim victory no matter what the reality is.

He's already claimed victory a few different times in tweets

Am pretty puzzled at the moment. Is there a larger play in play here? Don't have a clue.

Am surprised the Israelis have been so restrained

Surprised the Arab States have tolerated IRGC's aggression

Where does this end? No clue.

Despite all of the Trump haters who hate everything he does and who want the US to fail simply because Trump is in office, there is nothing difficult to understand about why the US went into this military operation, what the strategy is, who is winning, and what a conclusion looks like -

the US initiated military action because Iran can't have a nuke and would not give up its nuclear program - the strategy is to force them (through military action) to acquiesce - IRAN has been decimated by US military strikes which will continue until IRAN agrees to the US objectives - a peace deal will involve IRAN surrendering its enriched uranium, agreeing to abandon its nuclear program, and agreeing to US continuous inspections of its nuclear sites

military actions do not run on a set timeline - each one is different depending on the goal, the strategy, and the enemy - I don't now why this is so difficult to understand or controversial

Echoing another response, it’s easy for me to say what we should do differently.

But we have 0% of the intelligence our planners have which may have them intentionally avoiding such moves.

Inflation approaching 90%
-largest bank collapsed
-billions of shadow banking money stolen by people within the govt
-Bessent seized Personal assets of a billion from IRGC officials (I thought these guys were terrorists what do they need getaway money for)
-Bessent has choked off over a 1,000 intermediaries who were helping dodge sanctions
-Trade is down 75%
-Their ports are blocked and the railhead bridge to china blown up

They cant get squat in or out of the country, and china dont work on credit.
They dont and never will control the strait, if they did they would not be starving to death figuratively, soon it could be literally.

And dictatorship 101. The people can starve, the people can die of heat, but the one thing, the one thing you must ensure......pay the military......and they cant do that

Extremely poorly. He could be f$&king this up worse, but he could have avoided f$&king it up at all. It is a mind numbingly stupid unforced error that flies entirely in the face of everything he campaigned on. It is one of the few Trump actions I cannot even pretend to support.

No way this was going to be a 5 day war. The two farthest points from each other in Iran stretch from Mobile to Montana. Not a small country. And earth now has a lot fewer moslem men of military age and/or with military training than it did before. Not a bad thing by any means.

Yet you believe a mental case basement dweller, taking showers with his granddaughter in a heart beat.

Sometimes you wonder who the true mental case really is.

His replacement was an equal mental midget names Kamala.

Couldn’t get out of that one, now you are full blown communist.

Everything is not okay. But if we help them get nuclear weapons, it will be better. Especially for young Americans.

outside of bombing them and killing a bunch of innocent civilians, there isnt much we can do to win the war. they have more missiles and drones than us and can continue to attack. we are running low on systems that can knock these out of the sky. there is word that china is sending air defense systems so they may now have the capability to better shoot down our planes and choppers. so unless we come up with a way to knock their shite out of the air we are limited in what we can do different than what we are already doing. they were better prepared than us.

Ok I think people get that

IRAN has been decimated by US military strikes

It sure seems like they / their proxies still have plenty of control and firepower

quote:

which will continue until IRAN agrees to the US objectives - a peace deal will involve IRAN surrendering its enriched uranium, agreeing to abandon its nuclear program, and agreeing to US continuous inspections of its nuclear sites

I think they will either lie about this or die before they agree to it

Then maybe Trump needs to stop spiking the football every 10 min followed by another shipping issue…

I support the effort. However, I think we have to crap or get off the pot. The current regime is never going to negotiate in good faith. They need to be destroyed entirely.
