We do have AOC backing away from woke 1.0, so there are some positive signs. But, the fact that she is a viable presidential candidate is concerning.
The only reason she is shying away from woke is because she is going to run for President, and if elected she will run right back to the crazy
It amazes me the difference each individual Wal Mart is from one to another. Back when I lived in Gainesville, FL I liked to joke that we weren't in the hood, but we were hood adjacent and our Walmart reflected that. Everything was locked up, employees were horrible rarely helped but then I moved to the sticks of Missouri. Much better clientele, better employees and over all better store and obviously nothing locked up with the exception of high end electronics and games

re: Question for the biggest Trump supporters out there - Iran War

For more than four decades, successive administrations—Republican and Democratic alike, allowed Iran to expand its regional influence while continuing to support proxy organizations responsible for attacks that killed American service members overseas. I supported the military campaign because I believe it was necessary to degrade Iran's ability to threaten U.S. interests and our allies.
My concern is what follows. History has shown that when military pressure is lifted without achieving lasting strategic objectives, Iran has often used the opportunity to rebuild its capabilities, rearm its proxies, and restore its regional influence. If the goal is to eliminate the long-term threat, sustained pressure and a clear end-state are essential. Otherwise, we risk repeating the cycle of temporary gains followed by renewed aggression.

I’ve actually helped conduct an election in Afghanistan—the country’s first free election. They didn’t allow non-citizens to vote. Voting had to be done in person, and because of the threat of vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs), people couldn’t even drive to the polling stations.
Afghans risked their lives and walked through snow just to cast a ballot. That’s what protecting the integrity of an election looked like. But we can’t expect the same of American citizens

I don’t care if they only vote in local elections, elections should be for citizens and that’s it

This only identified computer error and not human error. Is it possible that non-citizens didn't check the non-citizen box when they should have and were registered to vote?
Seems like should be an Act or something that could ensure citizenship when registering to vote, I don't know, maybe the SAVE Act :dunno:

The stunning announcement comes amid a push by President Donald Trump’s administration to crack down on non-citizen voting, which the president claims — frequently without factual basis — aids Democrats in elections.
Even in an article acknowledging that noncitizens are voting in U.S. elections, the author still insists Trump’s concerns are “frequently without factual basis.”

We have quite the number of tough guys on this board that advocate for an all war on Iran, or, turning the desert to glass over there. Yet, they sit on their hands and don't do anything where it really matters.
I do support military action against Iran, and I’ve already served this country—including in Afghanistan. So the claim that I’m merely sitting on my hands is nonsense. Prior service does not require me to reenlist every time I believe military force is justified.
Its not that simple, I am of the opinion we should first bring down the number of Veteran suicides that occur each day prior to clamping down on folks claiming PTSD
I thought he was a better coach than Charlie Strong and Sarkisian but that job was too big for him

that's what needs to happen, sort of as a "reset", but it's a complete non-starter politically because the fallout woudl be.... well, look at this thread for a good idea of it.
It would be politically disastrous for the VA to misdiagnose or turn away someone suffering from severe PTSD, only for that Veteran to later die by suicide. Something similar happened in the Tampa Bay area about ten years ago involving a Veteran I knew, though not closely. He was struggling badly and reportedly tried to admit himself to the VA for treatment but was turned away. He later shot himself in his vehicle in a VA parking lot.
In another instance, in December 2018, retired Marine Col. Jim Turner also died by suicide outside the Bay Pines facility. Marine Veteran Jordan Hunkin sought treatment at the VA hospital in Gainesville in 2023 and died by suicide six months later.
These are simply the Florida cases I personally knew about because the Veterans were connected to a Veterans group I was serving in. Given that history, I would rather err on the side of believing Veterans when they say they are suffering from PTSD than ridicule them for seeking treatment or compensation.
Why else would you have done with it?

In 2000, less than 10% of veterans were receiving disability benefits. The rate for post-9/11 veterans is about 50%. Could MHS Genesis account for the rate of veterans receiving disability benefits going up 5x?
In 2000, how many. Vets fought in a war? With our increased technology soldiers can survive injuries that would have been deadly decades before
Yes, trump has made it easier to navigate. I worked for the VA and Obama’s scientific advisor recognized me for my work on electronic health records, they have nearly nothing to do with the disBILITY CLAIMS

It would be interesting to know the number of Viet Nam Veterans who died from Agent Orange vs the number who died as the result of battlefield injuries.
More Vietnam Veterans have died of agent orange exposure than battlefield fatalities. Some goes for the 9-11 attacks on the WTC when it comes to emergency personnel. The same goes for burn pit exposure

I never have
So you are equate us to illegals now, awesome

This thread is a pretty good example of why veteran disability is "untouchable." You even mention reform and suddenly you're literally murdering vets. If you don't give the veterans their maximum gibs, you hate America you fricking commie
I don’t know a single Veteran who wouldn’t admit there is fraud. I just don’t appreciate a guy who has never dealt with what we have dealt with a day in his life questioning what we’ve dealt with
