I’m just seeing people tired of paying high dollar for items.

Well I didn’t think the question was asking about Europe's economy

America’s economy is not remotely bad. The prices here have escalated but we still haven’t caught up to much of the globe.
However, if all you have seen is the U.S. it can seem high and out of control.

The same retards downvoting you are the same ones who either voted blue or sat home eating bonbons while the country caught on fire.
You mean the same people Trump and others have spent the past 2 years attacking for being conservatives instead of being loyal to Trump no matter what?

Just because everyone else is also setting themselves on fire doesn’t mean we’re thriving.

There is a difference between not thriving and “bad”. A very large delta

I’m a Republican. Always have been. Hate socialism

You clearly haven’t paid attention to what farmers and business owners have gone through with the tariffs.
This is what pisses off a lot of voters running small businesses. Republicans just pretending things are great or blaming the same tired old scapegoats that are just a drop in the bucket.
When anyone with half a brain can see tariffs driving up business costs like crazy, then adding diesel prices, and at least a few that actually feel bad watching their employees increasingly struggle with rent, grocery and health care prices.
Where I am, the constant derogatory bullshite with Canada and Europe also led to an obvious decline in tourist dollars we all count on as well.
All while watching a few big businesses seemingly turn in record profits and that seeming to be the barometer for Republicans to say it's going great.

People are tired of high gas, food, and cost of living prices. A republican is President so they’ll vote Democrat. Then when these things continue with a Democrat, they’ll vote Republican again.

Combine
with
and you have your answer... steady raises and even better jobs and things still feel more expensive for you. Now imagine those americans who did not get steady raises or better jobs.

It didn’t get any better.
I just checked and my stock profits went up more under Trump than any other president (over last 30 years). I only lost money with Obama.

Sounds like an even worse bubble than Trump.

Frankly I think a lot of the older population thinks they’re more well off than they really are because of the housing market

I make a similar salary to what I made 5 years ago (different job, lower work hours, better benefits, more pto, lower stress).
Even with better benefits, etc. the choice you made to reduce your salary to what you were making 5 years ago might be part of the problem. Might be a budgeting issue instead of an economy issue.

I really wanted to buy bitcoin in 2011.
The highest Bitcoin got in 2011 was $4.11. If that would've caused you to be homeless then you might not have been being very smart with your money to begin with.

I was a full time engineering student who could barely afford food and housing.
