Is this the official Smothers/Coleman melt thread for the Gumps?
Everything is a melt according to LSU pigeons.

I think the bigger issue is all these HS kids are going to soon quit being recruited as much due to the fact of how many of them are leaving after 1 or 2 years.
That's quite a bit of money schools are spending on a player only for them to leave after developing them. And that's true before you even take NIL into account.
What you really want is a good HS recruit that you can develop over time and then one day reap the rewards of that, aka the old way. But you want one that's actually going to stick around and with 1/3rd of all players entering the transfer portal every year, that's not happening. Over 3 years, it seems the odds of a keeping a single player is low.
Schools are getting screwed over, they don't have basic protections on their "investments". All schools because all schools are forced to partake in it. Yeah you grab some guy from another team, but you losing them as well.
They talk about going up to 105 scholarships or whatever, but it seems more likely a team should drop down to 55 or whatever the bare minimum needed is and just let other teams spend the money to develop/babysit the players. I think it's 53 in the NFL right?
The entire system makes no sense. And that's about all I can say without getting political about the sad state of colleges across the country and the quality of education they are putting out. They are ate up from the ground up.

They’ll be in the portal next year. Most Bama commits are front running groupies and the shine is wearing off.
LSU currently has more transfer outs than Alabama.
LSU has 31, Alabama has 21.
What are you doing in this thread?
quote:
I know there would be a drop off now that they lost their cheating edge with NIL but didn’t think it would be this bad. Getting lockered by absolutely everyone in the portal.
Alabama currently has the #2 overall class in the country, and is only another transfer or 2 from being #1.
What the frick are you talking about?
quote:
Nobody has satisfactorily explained why we let them in to begin with
Because our country is morally bankrupt and all anyone cares about is greed and killing people.

Indiana would be undefeated easily. Are dumbass SEC fans not paying attention? SEC hasnt beat a BIG 10 team in the playoffs in 3 years. That is fact but SEC fans think the top dog in the Big 10 would have a problem with an SEC schedule.....
You obviously don't understand the actual difficulty of playing a tough schedule and why it matters.
re: Since Alabama QB Austin Mack "resigned", who is Bama's QB for 2026?

I ;posted the source, you son of an inbred Alabama whore. Let them know you disapprove.
The fact you couldn't figure out it was written by an AI that can't tell the difference between "resigned" and "re-signed" and posted it anyway makes it look like you're pretty dumb.
It could have been an honest mistake, but since you want to double down on it - you're an idiot.
This reminds me of when a thug asks to hold a dollar.

Neocons will never stop with their global marxist agenda, and peoples thirst for death and destruction will never be quenched.

One day?… AI is already running film scouting on all the major platforms (mostly in beta form), it’s a great feature if you know how to use it, I’m a coach, it’s already happening
Not surprising at all.
re: If Indiana were in the SEC how would they do?

On Alabama's schedule, a minimum of 2 losses.
On Ole Miss's schedule, good chance to be undefeated since the Indiana schedule was tougher than Ole Miss schedule(counting the Big10 Championship)

There wasn’t nearly this many threads when LSU hired Kelly. There were threads here and there but not constant spamming flame threads from opposing fans. It’s a completely different level of melt.
I don't know how many threads were made, but I know the narrative in the ones that were made were the same when it comes to LSU fans.
People pointed out he couldn't win big games and such and all LSU fans would reply with was "melting", and he was going to be great, blah blah blah.
Now your paying over $25 million a year for the head coaching position.
Hell, if you had just paid that much to start with, you probably could have had someone like Kirby.
quote:
Brian Kelly was a great hire in theory
He would have needed to be a different coach than he had been in his entire life to meet the expectations of LSU fans. You could count the number of big wins he had in his career on a sawyers hand.
He got Notre Dame where he did mostly on easy schedules.
The plus side to Brian Kelly was he didn't generally lose games he shouldn't, but staring into the distance unable to make adjustments while getting his arse whipped was visible way back in 2012.
Yep, I haven't seen people melt this much since LSU hired Brian Kelly.
Everyone was scared because if he could do what he did at Notre Dame and get them to the playoffs, he was going to do wonders for LSU.

Did bama have a QB that actually "resigned" from the team after the beating IU gave out?
No.
Ty Simpson declared for the draft though.

Was that written by AI from like 10 years ago or something?

Indiana executes and limits mistakes.
But one day AI will change the game in this way. And if people are smart, they'll use it to scout their own teams.

It's definitely a different game now.
I miss the old days.
People don't want to admit it, but shite is better when it's dangerous.

I’m not reading all of that. Saying the defense wasn’t elite at the end of the year shows you’re one of those people that the kids say “don’t know ball”. Have fun in your insulated Alabama bubble. You won’t be seeing Alabama win a natty for a LONG, LONG time. Kinda like y’all saw 1 in a 30 year period. That’s coming again, Saban isn’t walking back through that door. Y’all got extremely lucky to land him.
It's an entire season, not just where you are at the end. If you want to be the GOAT it starts DAY 1.
I saw 3 national championships before we ever hired Saban.
