Early voting usually only has a limited number of polling places, like Baton Rouge has 5.

On election day, Baton Rouge has around 150 polling places.

1. Don’t early vote on a Saturday
2. Especially don’t go on the first or last day
3. Do it in the middle of the week before noon if you have a weekday off.

I know a lot of people who are purposefully waiting to vote on election day because the early voting lines have been so long. They are betting (and probably correctly) that with so many voting early, the lines on election day will be shorter than they are right now.

why do you think there will be that many more voters on Election Day than usual?

I was leaving a golf course in Irving and the line to early vote was so laughable. 0% chance I early vote if the entire city is like that.

It's called Election Day for a reason.

My county has 95000+ registered voters. As of Saturday 43000+ have already voted and early voting goes until the 29th. I don't think lines are going to be an issue.

I would stand in line for 23 hours and 59 minutes in a blizzard, even if it meant I'd be fired from my job just to vote for one Donald John Trump.

And I'm a SUBURBAN WOMAN!!!!!

We voted early (today).

Based on my totally subjective opinion, I saw a whole lot of MAGA today. 2 hr wait for me, my son later in the day hr and a half. He said the lines were longer when he left, than when he arrived.

I think the talk of voter shenanigans has spurred the Trump base to act. A TON of early votes, not just "will vote".

Where are you? My wife and I voted a week apart from each other, both times during what would normally be hugely busy (after people get off work between 5:00pm - 6:00pm) and we both parked, went in, voted and left in under 20 minutes.

My guess is, with early voting and so many working from home, people are able to come as it fits their ability to get out.

BTW - I live in a county of almost a million people.

This Republican stood in a 3 hour line with a 1 and a half year old to cast my vote for maga! Trust me, it looks better than you all think!

So many people are early voting that I’m hoping the line won’t actually be long on Election Day

Why has early voting become a thing? Why not early vote for the 2022 midterm or 2024?

I have no problem with an absentee ballot when it is a voters’ only option, such as our military deployed abroad overseas or a work schedule that necessitates frequent travel. Yet I want to vote in person and see that my ballot is physically accepted at the polling station.
