I recently started the LSU BS Construction Management online program and I'm currently taking a class where I have to learn about Agenda 2030 globohomo crap. Just wanted to share that I'm not happy about having to pay for that crap.

An associates degree? This is a 2 year program, right?

This cat was the type of dumb you just can’t cure way before he took out 85K in loans for a damn associate’s degree in occupational therapy ( at that “degree”)…..no sympathy here

These people are just poor decision makers.

This kid was not designed to go to college. You paid 85k to fit a round peg halfway into a square hole.

You need the 4 year degree in these things to make money but it was impossible to get this kid into accepted into a 4 year program.

College is not your right. College can be fun, but it doesn't mean every kid deserves it.

The mother wanted their child to have a college experience. And they took out loans to pay for it.

I don't understand these people. They make an obvious poor choice and then want everyone else to pay off their poor choice.

Most people aren't. There's a faction in this country that thinks its best if everyone does, which is far from true.

Playing a little devil’s advocate, when are we going to start calling some of the education institutions, criminal level con schemes?

I’m guessing she used a big chunk to live off of.

I know several people who couldn’t afford to send their kids to college so just let them do this. It’s crazy, and the real reason there is so much student loan debt.

Student loans should go to tuition and that’s it.

OT-Assistant certifications are 2 year programs and don't require a degree beforehand

Most OTA programs (in the southeast) have transitioned to AAS degrees.

I agree the trend is toward a professional doctorate like Rx and PT.

No. It was those mean old predatory lenders. It is all their fault and this poor soul should have his debt forgiven.

Where do you get the money to pay for room and board? You can’t pay for it with minimum wage jobs like I did

4. "Learning challenges" that only this expensive college was able to "accommodate"? Unlikely (unless the "learning challenge" is "fiscal responsibility")

You missed the obvious learning challenge that the expensive private school was able to accommodate. She probably had a low GPA, ACT & SAT score; therefore, she had to pay a premium to go to a private school. Also, because those scores were so low, she probably added another year to her 2 year degree to take all of the remedial classes.

Nothing wrong with that. Not everyone needs a 4 year degree.

So much stupidity and ignorance for two short sentences.

This person likely got a degree as an Occupational Therapy assistant.

This is offered at several community colleges in Louisiana. You could get this degree for less than $10,000 - not including living expenses.

For a two year degree like this..you work full time and take classes part time at night…
