His position also isn't true, most likely.

The average American probably views "systemic racism" with skepticism and thinks police brutality is overstated.

But they can't say so publicly...because of the mob.

So it becomes completely circular, whereby people are bullied into taking a position and said position (achieved through exercise of some force, physical or otherwise) is then used to carry the bullying to others.

Which is, of course, pretty tyrannical by any reasonable standard.

Do you think Coke really worries that minorities won't drink Coke or that they'll suddenly drink more Coke because Coke supports BLM?
The problem with this question is the assumption that only minorities care about the issues raised by BLM. There are a large percentage of Whites and other groups who support that cause enough to let it color their perception of a brand. Now I don't know how many people feel that way or how strongly they feel about it, but you know who probably does know? Coke and other multi-billion dollar corporations with hundreds of employees and basically limitless resources dedicated to brand management.

Large corporations are going to manage their brands, and if they can improve their brand image by putting out a statement on Twitter for the cost of zero dollars, they will.

This happens all the time. Look at how many corporations change their Twitter/Instagram/Facebook profiles to rainbow background for Pride month in June. They don't actually care about LGBT rights, but they know that many people perceive support for that cause favorably, so they make a free, easy gesture to improve their brand image. You can't seriously argue that a company like MasterCard did this because they're afraid of LGBT people burning down Mastercard global headquarters if they didn't can you?

Corporations are supportive of BLM, gay pride, and basically any other movement to the exact extent that it will make them money, period. Right now the money just happens to be in supporting causes that you happen to oppose, but again, that's just a company exercising their freedom to project whatever image they want in a free market. The only alternative would be to have some authority block them from doing that, which would be actual tyranny.

The institutions we rely on to bolster rational behavior are actively working against the interests of peace and the majority. Hence, the need to reach some critical mass of vocal public consensus to end the destruction.

Your position of course raises the question of what happens when/if the majority accepts untruthful things as true and tyrannical behavior becomes the endorsed position of a majority - and the answer is "the rest of us GTFO" I suppose.

This is insightful and true.

The real test will be at the ballot box. All the screaming at strangers and rioting bullshite is prominent on news coverage, but the silent majority waits. They can’t follow you into the polls. My first vote for Trump was a frick you to all those who despise him (not because I like him) and my next vote for him will be that x1000 plus his ability to before and hopefully again throw the economy into overdrive, cut taxes and demolish unemployment. I seriously doubt Trump has lost a single vote since 2016. Think we can say the same for the democrats?

It's not my assumption. It's a direct response to a premise you presented regarding corporations acting in their interests by appealing to minority dollars.

I might, if the LGBT crowd was burning down stuff like elements of the BLM crowd are. But regardless, as mentioned repeatedly, stigma promotes fear just as physical destruction & violence does.

This is non-responsive to my prior statements. It's just repeating a premise which I think is pretty laughable and have explained why it's laughable in detail. It also ignores the underlying threat of violence that has been raised, and the concept of false stigmatization discussed.

But perhaps most importantly, the only authority referenced in this discussion is the majority. I assume, that if the tide turned and the silent majority of Americans began telling BLM to shut up, perhaps with some destruction and violence thrown in to bolster the demand, and corporations responded to that by public statements disavowing protestors as terrorists, you'd maintain your stance that this is freedom and the free market at work?

Havel’s Parable of the Greengrocer is one of the most important short works of the 20th century.

If you fight back, you'll be labeled a white nationalist or a member of a vigilante militia. Seriously, the people fighting this "war" on behalf of BLM are the biggest saps alive. The money being raised by BLM is going to Act Blue, which is essentially a fundraising arm of Democratic political candidates. So the people fighting against systemic racism are essentially funding the campaign of the man who helped write the 1994 Crime Bill, which institutionalized federal mass incarceration.

The irony here is just beyond thick.

The Democrats have played their useful idiots to a T, and it is sad to watch.

The 1994 Crime Bill is just the tip of the iceberg of what Democrats have done to these groups they claim to protect. Slavery, Jim Crow, and the KKK are just a few other examples of Democrat party ideals....

There was an incredible infographic I saw at the beginning of all of this about the word "tolerance."

The entire graphic was basically saying to be "tolerant" you have to be "intolerant" of anything that isn't completely tolerant.

It had shares and and likes, but was a legitimate redefinition of "tolerance" to basically mean "accepting correct ideas and not others."

It was incredibly obvious and ridiculous. Mind-boggling. I wish I could find it again.

They've completely perverted the entire concept of racial equality. The prevailing doctrine says that if you don't recognize someone's race and treat them appropriately, you're a racist.

Silence is actual violence, violence is protesting.

Message of White Fragility

All white people are racist.

You cannot "not be a racist." Instead, you have to be anti-racist. Which means you have to be anti-whiteness, since racism is inherent to whiteness.

That one is especially entertaining.

You're a racist by default of the color of your skin

Saying you're not racist is merely your white fragility being offended which means your resistance to concept A is a sign of your racism.

This is like tossing accused witches into a lake.
