The OM chest puffing is gonna be insufferable when they beat Tulane.

Agree. Looking forward to their ultimate elimination.

Notre Dame in playoffs

Good. Screw their arrogant and pious fanbase.

1988 and counting.

Imagine being IU and having to beat OSU again at some point to win it all or GA having to beat Alabama.

It’s a horseshite system. All. About. Money.

No different than the NFL playoffs, or any other playoff system.
Ohio State did it last year. So its obviously possible.
Meaningless and uninspiring game. The only benefit is additional practice time for the members of our team that opt to participate.
They are never going to beat UGA, Ohio State, and whomever emerges from the other side of the bracket in three consecutive games.

Cannot wait for them to be eliminated so that the press can stop hypocritically harping on Kiffin's supposed "betrayal."

Unfortunately, Bama has a comparatively easy path.
I just posted something similar in another thread.

He must be a true football genius. What he has accomplished in just two seasons almost defies belief. It's brilliant.

What's amazing to me is that he was repeatedly passed over and had to take a very unusual route to a FBS head coaching position.

I legitimately wanted to smash windows walking out of TS that night. I didn't, but I've never been so frustrated after a loss. I was at the Dome on 1/9 and, while that loss was getting, it did not provoke the same rage.
Indiana radiates intelligence and discipline in their play. They are outclassed by OSU in terms of talent, but they compensate with execution, tactical acumen, and passion.

In many respects, they are the antithesis of the Kelly-coached Tigers, who were inherently stupid and indifferent the last two seasons.

Cignetti must be a true football savant. What he has accomplished in just two years is almost miraculous.
Need to get pressure from front four, not just blitzes. Signing class should help.
Historically, in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, Ole Miss was our arch rival.
They should just scrap the bowls and let the higher ranked team play at home all the way through the semifinals, a la the NFL. The championnship game, like the Superbowl, could still be held at a nuetral site. Would minimize travel and expense for the fans, while providing a real advantage for higher seeds.

Imagine a national championship semi-final in TS.
The glorious promised land known as Dynasty.

I'm watching the Big XII championship and I have the most vivid vision of LSU returning to the national stage, the crackling electric days of December and January where championships are made, racing up and down the field in flashing purple and gold, while Kiffin cavorts and celebrates along the sideline.

He has the perfect demeanor and skillset to navigate the modern game.

It feels different this time.

Multiple national titles. Dynasty. A purple and gold terror roaming the land. Valhalla.

I'm fired up. Obviously.
Well, we did just convince their preferred head coach to stay at LSU in a coordinator role. Tells you all you need to know about the respective programs.

Tulane made the playoffs, but guess which program will be the next to win an NC?
I look forward to it immensely. No matter what, I will find a way to be in Tiger Stadium for that moment.

generally curious, with this being required to be passed by some clearing house, there is still no cap on these?

It has to be a legitimate exchange of value to survive the scrutiny of the Deloitte clearinghouse. You can no longer just pay some kid $10 million for a local commercial or billboard. Deloitte has estimated that it would have rejected 70% of historical "NIL" deals. So NIL does not have a fixed cap, but it's effectively capped by market dynamics.
Redeemed?

He is the greatest coach in LSU history and the program would have never won another NC or enjoyed the astounding successes of the last twenty-five years if he had not sought out LSU and taken the job in 2000. He completely altered the culture, image, and trajectory of LSU FB.
There are going to be so many fights at that game. The Ole Miss fans will be bitter.
Landry and his politico compatriots should keep their greasy meddling noses out of LSU FB. Period.

If anyone deserves credit for the Kiffin hire, it's Verge, not politicians.
Laugh every time.

The first one kills me. Looks like an aging civil war soldier from the Ken Burns series.
