Dae’Quan Wright Reveals Other SEC, ACC Schools That Showed Interest Before LSU

Dae’Quan Wright revealed this week that LSU wasn't the only school interested in adding him after he entered the transfer portal following his stint with the Cleveland Browns.
According to Koki Riley of The Advocate, Wright said Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech were among the schools that showed interest in bringing him in.
Wright previously played at Virginia Tech for two seasons before transferring to Ole Miss, where he caught 66 passes for 1,029 yards and nine touchdowns over the last two years.
The former Ole Miss tight end agreed to join LSU after being waived by Cleveland, but his status remains up in the air following the SEC's new policy barring players who signed professional contracts or appeared on professional rosters from returning to compete in the conference.
