It's because of the masks.

Mask up, mother frickers.

ETA: The above is 100% sarcasm.

Think about this

I am going to visit my 94 year old grandfather at his nursing home this week but I cannot go tailgate or order a drink after 11 at a restaurant or go to a bar

Thankfully the feds took the decision from the state

You'd be surprised how many facebook moms out there think they're gonna die the second someone removes the mask.

Because the Harvard top dr's in the world have already said it's coming back.
They are already seeing signs of that in Europe.

I do think from LA perspective it's all about federal money.

Where is the outbreaks in New York? It's not an issue there either.

It never left.

Again, highly contagious coronavirus. It isn't ever going away.

Because it ran through NYC like water off a ducks back because their governor and mayor sent infected people back to nursing homes, refused to shut down the subway, and scared the ever living shite out of the rest of the country.

Their population got it. Now they are done with it.

Maybe we already have something approaching herd immunity in the places that were hit hard early on like New York and Louisiana. Other places locked down too early so they got their main spike when the lockdown was removed. Europe could easily explain this. I also feel like enough people have taken very few precautions that we probably have a significant amount of the population with immunity. Then there is the Sweden data.

NYC had their subways and NOLA had Mardi Gras. The virus spread quickly and ran the natural course.

And the rest of Louisiana got straight D- and F's for going about their regular routine instead of hiding-in-place. Doesn't everybody remember getting chastised in March, April and May that our phones were ratting on us that we were still out and about? And all those Mother's Day get togethers, oh my, it's a miracle that there are any mothers left.

If you look at the numbers from a macro level, instead of micro, there has never been any statistically noteworthy "spikes" here. More of a bell curve that we have long since past.

Europe was much slower than the US to "open back up" so they are seeing their 2nd wave that we saw in July from the openings in June.

They're just seeing that wave now. And just like us after the 2nd wave, they'll start trending down like we are doing.

Soy ridden nerds aren't social, which is why they're pushing so hard for the lock downs to continue.

They want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.

IT never left, and IT never will.

When cases rise and fall, the US is prepared. There are no shortages of:
- Ventalators
- MASKS
- Gloves
- Hospital staff
- MASKS
- Remdesivir
- Hand Santizer
- Disinfectants
- MASKS
- Face shields
- Disinfecting Soap
- Thermometers
- Toilet paper
- MASKS

This country is much more prepared to handle spikes in the sick as it relates to Covid than ever before.

Not necessarily true. Yes most of the people like that are leftist loons but there are still plenty of people who think that if you walk into a store without a mask on everyone there is going to die

I really doubt people in southwest Louisiana have covid tests high on their to-do lists right now when they’re still cleaning up the mess that Laura left.
