. The vaccine which has been around 20 years or so changed that whole formula and it can be avoided now. A different world with a different cost-benefit analysis pre-vaccine

There was a study done about 5 years after the vaccine came out that showed a marked uptick in shingles cases. Pre vaccine it was something like 0.36% of adults got shingles. 5 years into vaccine, it was over 3%. Shingles vaccine commercials now say 1 in 3 adults.

So yes, the cost-benefit analysis has changed to more chicken pox vaccines sold means the need for more shingles vaccines.

Those moms do seem to have known what they were doing.
Warped. Two of my four went there. It has been going downhill for awhile. Academically, still worthwhile to consider, but definitely will be exposed and "taught" same crap as public, and honestly today, most private.

I’ve never had a flu shot, and to my knowledge have never had the flu

Same, although to be fair, I have also never had a flu test. I catch a bug every 3-4 years perhaps, but rarely anything bad enough to miss work (save those sick days for when I need a Ferris Bueler day). I have been surrounded by a house full of it (or I assume was it as I never saw the need to ever get kids or hubby tested) taking care of them all, and stayed good.

Kids are the first group I thought about. This could be catastrophic

Pregnant women were the first ones I thought about. They were, and still are, pushing that the strongest. How many of the generation currently being born are going to end up with reproductive problems for zero actual health gains because their mothers were convinced by politicians that their babies would die within 3 months of covid without them getting the shot/booster?

Soooo.... no one drinking anything?? b/c those aren't free..

Water is free (from fountain drink dispenser, not bottle) and better for you anyway.
I mean dudes CAN be gorgeous. Doesn't mean they aren't still a dude.

Or is our governor too busy rubbing elbows with the other losers in Glasgow this week to pick up the phone and call someone at Toyota?

Yes.

Could we get it? If someone at LED actually did their job, yes. Will we? No. Will we even seriously pursue it? No.

Teedy is beatable. Vote.

Especially if those that approve of her aren't concerned enough to bother to vote. If the 43% (which I truly believe is a higher number in reality) mobilize, there absolutely should be a runoff, at the least.

Beautiful property but that house is fricked

Somebody will buy it, tear down the house, and build a dozen mcmansions.

The only tricky thing is trying to protect our 3 month old. So far she hasn't gotten sick, no fricking idea how that miracle happened.

That miracle happened because she has her mom's immunity still to a lot of things, but don't be too worried. Having her catch a few things isn't a bad thing as it helps her build up her own immunity since mom's does eventually wear off.

Kid never got sick before. Started preschool in September and literally every single week it’s something new.

How sheltered were they before preschool? As others have said, if this is their first experience with groups of essentially strangers on a daily basis, it's called giving their immune system an education. It is normal and what you actually want, despite inconveniences.

Mine were around other kids from the get go, especially kids 2 thru 4. #4 especially was at siblings sporting events starting at about 2 weeks being oohed and awed over by dozens of snotty, germy 8-10 year olds. None of them went to daycare, but they each had had all the random ickies before they started preschool. #4 probably has the strongest immune system out of any of them. From preK-12, she had to go to the doctor once for strep. That was it.

The revised version of the bank reporting proposal will also weaken its scope by exempting all wage income from counting toward the $10,000 threshold

So the banks would also have to differentiate types of deposits? Oh, this one is a paycheck, it doesn't count. We're not sure about that one, so we'll put it towards the $10k. My regular check might be a direct deposit, but my bonuses, expense reimbursements, occasional advances, etc., are paper checks. And I have direct deposits that aren't paychecks. So you can't just blanketly say direct deposits don't count but everything else does.

I've also had an employer in the past that wrote me a bad payroll check. It was an actual mistake, but it screwed my account up so I always cashed them at their bank afterwards and deposited the cash into my account.

And as others said, it's none of their freakin business.

re: Is Louisiana mask mandate over?

Was there one really? First go round, several BR stores asked me don a scarf (Denham got all my grocery money during that time frame). No one at the office (and none of us ever worked from home) ever wore won other than the boss for a few days while he was waiting on his own covid test results.

Since the latest request, in the BR area, have been to the bank, post office, Starbucks, Walgreens, several restaurants, movie theater, and shopping at a variety of stores from big box to local. In all those outings, one Walmart greeter asked if I wanted one, but was cool with my no thanks.

So other than the kids being abused, has there really been one? Just like the war on drugs, JUST SAY NO.

it is eliminating the need for the 63 local collection offices

But it isn't actually eliminating them. The local offices will remain, with duties shifted.

All of these symptoms can also be a number of other things except for the lose of snell/taste

That too actually. Any upper respiratory illness, a sinus infection for example, can cause loss of smell/taste. Despite propaganda, it is not exclusive to covid-19.

Far from threatening Facebook and Google, such a legal change could be the greatest gift one can give them, which is why their executives are often seen calling on Congress to regulate the social media industry.

FB has advertising now pushing this. Saw the same commercial from them several times last night about internet regulations needing to be updated.
Start by requesting his DD214. As a family member, you shouldn't have a problem getting it, but you may need to gather info as you'll need his info (including SSN), about when he joined, and about when he got out of each service branch. Once you get that, you may have some clues you can follow up on. No idea if it's one DD214, or one for each branch? But when you start filling out the request, the instructions will tell you what you need to do.

I've seen a handful of people even wearing a mask the last few months

I've seen more than I want to in Baton Rouge. It's a bit disappointing honestly. On some grocery store outings it seems like myself and half the workers are the only ones maskless. I have yet to be asked by any store or restaurant. The most I've gotten is one door greeter asking if I wanted one. I politely said no thank you, and they said okay.

More people need to throw them away. That's the only way out of this.
They won't, but the legislature needs to modify the statute that gives the governor this authoritarian power. An "emergency" situation does not last long enough for the legislature to hold two regular sessions. 30 days max. No extensions. If a disaster of some sort arises that needs more than 30 days, call a special session to deal with it.
