It's been 2 weeks since schools started, since hurricane evacuations, since Labor Day crowds (and all of the other excuses JBE has used).

Why does the Governor still have these emergency powers, which he is clearly abusing?

Emergency powers are meant as a temporary measure until the Legislature can meet to establish laws. It's been months now.

It's time go open our state's economy fully and stop with this ridiculous "we have to wait 2 weeks to see if there is a spike."

The American public are so brainwashed at this point, no matter what data you show them, they will keep begging for more masks and lockdowns.

Half of kids have been in school for a month now with no real issues.
No real issues with teachers or personnel either.
My kids school started full time this week and so far so good.

My only concern is if it returns in the fall.
That's when you will see the spikes.

I've been wondering the same. Lake Charles should be a Covid cess pool. Its been 25 days since Hurricane Laura. People were hugging, shaking hands, multiple people sleeping in same room, etc. Very few masks to be seen in the cleanup effort.

Based on what media tells us, it should have spiked hard...

our kids started school on time in mid august, full days, no virtual learning, common sense class scheduling adjustments...

no cases in the entire school of over 500

My daughter has been back for a month with almost all kids on campus. No Rona outbreaks

The only people who care only care for extremely political reasons.

I would ask that anyone downvoting my post actually type a rational, logical response as to what is wrong with my original post.

I will even accept OMB since that's probably the case.

Let the virus run its course. This too shall pass, and over 99% of us will be just fine.

Why would there be a fall spike instead of now? The first four weeks of school should have produced the spike if it was to occur.

I guess the studies about kids being poor vectors for transmission were right

If you haven’t figured out it’s because of federal emergency funds by now then I don’t know what to tell you.

Imagine being such a soy ridden nerd that you want to lose basically a year of social activities to a virus that basically is deadly for only two categories of people.

Yes, despite what the "we follow the science" Party of Science has tried to claim...

Imagine that.
