They’ve had a ton of outside noise for over a damn month and they stayed focused and fought like hell. Damn good game.
Great game Reb’s, down to the last second.

Hold him accountable of a signed contract.
Contrary to popular belief these are still student-athletes, they are not employees of an institution.

Curious what you mean by this?
He's got 1 more year to find an and a got damn run game and a serviceable oline. He will not last in the SEC without both. After 2 years, he should know without a doubt that those 2 are a must in this conference.
Lawsuit is coming. You now have kids with an NIL deal bailing for something else. It is pretty simple. You sign, you play. No second-guessing once signed.
It is like a coaching contract. If a school wants another school's coach there is a buyout that has to be paid. This isn't brain surgery, and these kids are most assuredly not brain surgeons. Most of these kids probably cannot legitimately academically qualify for a University
Academics was kicked to the curb with the wide-open portal years ago. We never hear about any "academic casualties" relative to a player's eligibility at game time. No one's getting benched because he didn't pass a class.

The College Sports Commission currently has nine employees, including one on the investigative team. The organization only just started in June.
Another issue arose last month that may hamper the CSC’s enforcement capabilities, when a group of power conference universities declined to sign the organization’s “participation agreement” geared to protect it from legal challenges from the school themselves. The agreement is in the midst of being modified with hopes to get all 68 power conference schools to sign in the near future.
The College Sports Commission can't even get every university on board or in agreement with their rules & regulations. The Commission has not power as long as universities operate outside of a fully agreed upon set of rules and parameters. IOW, nothing has changed and this Commission can't enforce shite.
:dunno:

quote:I'd think most programs have a GM with an entire department in the AD tasked with roster management. There's no way the coaching staff can maneuver this along with their actual job of "coaching" a team.
But on the other hand it’s non-stop roster management/retention management/salary management, etc.

I don’t disagree with some of what you’re saying but it is funny to me that all this doom and gloom is happening after a SEC title game appearance and a quarterfinal playoff appearance
Proof that "down years" for some programs are not the same as other programs. I consider this a down year for Bama, we need immediate upgrades in the trenches with a new oline coach, special teams needs addressing in the offseason. Take care of the oline and the run game will improve. I HATE not having a running game worth a damn.

SFP will never take an actual position. He only wants to poke holes in other people’s so he can feel superior when he gets called out and can act like he’s the only reasonable person around. That and derailing threads when he’s just “asking questions”

Worst loss was Bama, that shite was embarrassing.
Best win Ole Miss, also most entertaining. That was a great game and Ole Miss came to play ball. I’m pulling for the Rebs to win it all.
