I've been wondering the same. Lake Charles should be a Covid cess pool. Its been 25 days since Hurricane Laura. People were hugging, shaking hands, multiple people sleeping in same room, etc. Very few masks to be seen in the cleanup effort.

No Lake Charles should be infecting the entire country because none of the people who are there helping out are worried about Covid.

our kids started school on time in mid august, full days, no virtual learning, common sense class scheduling adjustments...

no cases in the entire school of over 500

Same for my daughter's school. Classes started 8/13, 5 days a week. Not a single case in almost 6 weeks.

CMS opened nursing homes for visits Friday (with restrictions)
Indoor can start if parish less that 10% positive & home has no new cases for 14 days
Most places are doing outdoor visits, limited # of visitors for 30 minutes

CMS said facilities could be cited if they didn’t allow outdoor visits unless there was a valid reason

Our little rural community is being pounded right now. We’ve had five deaths in the last week plus.

Mine has been in school since mid-August. We have been informed of 3 confirmed cases that turned out to be kids who were near confirmed cases; so no confirmed cases at school.

This is all a cluster frick no doubt, but the situation with Nola and Latoya chaps my arse most of all.

She is playing games now and loving her power. With the stats for Nola over the last 1.5 months, there is no reason she needs to have her stricter restrictions in place.

A friend of a friend's family owns a few businesses in the city including a nice wedding reception/special events venue. Somehow they got it lined up the other day that the owner was to speak with Latoya on 990AM to ask about what the city government was going to do to start helping and opening more up.

I haven't listened to the piece yet, but it sounds like she was a complete horses arse and very unprofessional. I saw comments on social media that she said "I don't care" and that SHE was the government.
I think they asker her what her plan was and her response was "what's your plan"?

Yeah, y'all have been dealing with headcases with her bullshite. She loves the power way too much to care about what her mandates are doing to the City. It's a shame.

Maybe it’s a sign of your privilege that you aren’t seeing cases in your lily white trump supporting neighborhood

Maybe visit the old folks home, or the needle exchange, or the soup kitchen, or the projects or the fast food restaurant if you want to see trumps holocaust of lgbt people, people of color and people of size

It’s almost as if you elect a retarded community organizer to run a major city, it’ll be a disaster.

The funniest ones are the types that try to say it’s not political. Just like the racial thing.
