Was talking to my dad on Father’s Day about where college FB is now compared to how we came up experiencing it. It’s such a sad thing knowing how I grew up loving it and how that experience is gone for my kids and theirs. The communal nature of it, local and in state kids you followed or knew for sometimes nearly a decade, the radio broadcasts on squirrel weekend in the woods, parking next to the stadium, my uncle living in the stadium, John Ferguson’s voice on radio, post game drives on the way home, the regional rivals that meant everything regardless of national implication.
