DEF is a hidden tax on all consumers, too. Freight would be a lot cheaper without it, but no Dem has ever bitched about Obama's EPA shoving it down our throats

I hate DEF as well. How much DEF does your truck go through. If I had to pick one or the other to go, I'd get rid of the EGR before DEF. I drive a 21 Cummins and I really don't put much DEF in it unless I'm towing frequently.

But I won't argue with your point either way. Even with a rollback of EPA regulations, I don't think either are going away. The manufacturers have poured a TON of money in to extending engine life with those systems for them to back it out. And given the yo-yo policies of administrations, they'll just leave it on there so the next dumbass liberal president enforces those regulations back.

Plus it's more stuff on the truck to break and for the service shops to charge for.

it is EXACTLY as you think it is, White Settlement

I didn't know you lived in DFW area.

My first house was in White settlement on the outside of the loop. Good beginner homes and all the residences were white. I go back to visit a neighbor occasionally and there are a lot of non white residents in there. I don't really hear of any problems from any of them and it's a mix of hispanic and blacks. Lots of those houses have been converted to rental properties now.

Oh and there was the whole gypsie clan that lived there for awhile.

The area around Montgomery Plaza has some nice apartments. The restaurants right next to Chuys is pretty nice. Have a buddy who's son lives in them. It's always nice and a lot of night life within walking distance and quick access to the Trinity River.

Montgomery Plaza had some. . . problems in the last year or two, but it seems like it's cleaned up now. I'm not 100% sure on that so might check, but Fort Worth usually doesn't let problems persist for long.
That's the look of a dog that is spoiled and doesn't understand why you won't just leave the door open so he can come and go as he pleases.

Can you expand on the incident of the wife throwing the cutting board at you. I guess it's good she didn't throw the knife.
I love everything about this story. So much entertainment.

Except that part if this is a real person who was blindsided by her picture being blasted along with a made up story.

This is a low rent argument. It's been around for every president I've followed from republican or democrat since HW or prior.

The rest of the post is a lot of words and the only pseudo argument with any relevance is the "empty warehouses". The rest is hollow arguments and crying. But that's the democrat's platform at this point. Along with lying and projection.
My options are line of sight internet or Elon internet.

Starlink is insanely good if you're not somewhere you can get fiber.

The dumbest thing I appreciate about this internet is that the dish has a heater plate built into it so when it freezes, you don't lose internet. I don't notice any issues even while it's storming.
Gemini seems to do a good job at answering generic business related questions.

I have a CoPilot license for work that uses the Claude models for computing. The amount of code it can crank out is insane. I spent about 30 - 45 minutes typing out some steps I take to do something on a regular basis. Maybe an hour or two a week of work, but it's several steps and if I were to have coded it, it would have taken a week or two. Son of a bitch knocked it out damn near perfectly the first time in about 15 minutes. Absolutely unreal how much AI has progressed from 4 or 5 months ago. Developers who are hesitant to use it are the ones that will get left in the dust. Developers who understand the business they're working for and can prompt AI effectively are the ones who will get ahead. Developers who understand how to create markdown instruction files with high levels of instruction, and prompt AI and understand how the business works and the direction they're headed are going to get paid big time. I was hesitant to start using AI until about 3 months ago when someone demonstrated what it can do. Downloading Powershell 7 and running the CoPilot CLI has been a huge help with some of the stuff I've inherited in the last 3 months.
Claude Mythos is going to be wild.

I honestly hope it is never released. But the writing on the wall says it will and it's got some real capabilities that are some doozies.
Nicokick sells all of those in bulk cheaper than you can find at local stores. I buy my habit from them 50 cans at a time.

More paid protesters

Im convinced some outside group is paying protestors to put signage in bridges. I see this shite in fort worth constantly too. Always interesting its one side of the aisle thag has the time to stand on a bridge for political reasons.
My mom attended a wedding with her grandmother a long time ago. Grandmother was hard of hearing and spoke loud. It had just gotten quiet and her grandmother said something to the effect of "the bride is a heifer and the groom ain't no catch either." Mom was thoroughly embarrassed and grandma just thought nobody heard her comment.
Everyone knows you're assistant to the regional manager.

Their internal polling must be in the septic tank. Beyond the shitter.
What I find amusing is when people have to tell you how smart they are in an attempt to convince you that they are smart or wise or knowledgeable.
It's a new day but democrats only have old ideas.

Is there any state where taxing the living piss out of rich people has worked long term?

Has any politician looked at the spending side of the problem in any of these already highly taxed states?
I like what he has to say, but I don't want to be spiking the football. There are some intelligent democrats that use their intelligence to undermine the country. And that doesn't exclusively apply to democrats either.

Where we live...it's a great find if you see 4.99 Diesel anywhere. We are closer to 5.15 - 5.20 here. My son's '01 4x4 Super Duty is giving him some early life lessons on budgeting.

Out of curiosity does he actually use the diesel for it's intended purpose or just have it just because? I do miss the days of my 5.7 Tundra at times but the fuel mileage was slightly lower than get now. Diesel wasn't $1 more than gas when I bought this truck, and the difference in price was made up in the better fuel mileage. That is from a fuel cost aspect. Oil changes, fuel filters, DEF and maintenance are all more expensive. DEF is the least of my concerns from a cost perspective though.

I drive a diesel and it's not fun filling up. 33 gallon tank and 18 mpg. Just glad I get 18. My niece drives a older F350 dually and she gets 8 mpg. I know she's hurting.

I filled up Saturday morning for $145 and that was 28 gallons or so. When gas is $2.50 like it was previously, the price difference is $80 or so.

I don't regret driving it because I do use my truck as an actual truck and tow heavy often enough to justify it. I'm fortunate that the price spike not detrimental to my budget. But it does mean that drivers need to consider scenarios that cause fuel prices to escalate when picking a car especially if the increase makes a material difference in their budget.
