A driving range. Easiest job I ever had. The owner had run cable box with HBO, Stars, etc into the proshop. He was kinda sketchy, but paid me and another kid 10$/hour cash, which was double minimum wage at the time so we didn't give a shite

Adrien's Supermarket in Lafayette

I feel bad for a lot of teenagers looking for jobs now. A lot of companies are unwilling to work around schedules nowadays.

My first job was a busboy at a seafood restaurant in Destin.
All you can eat nights definitely sucked. Total mess and low tips.

I worked at an all-you-can-eat buffet in Tulsa called Heritage House. I started when I was 16 (1976).

My primary job was carving the beef and ham at the end of the line. I cut some slices of beef for Barry Switzer once. I have scars on my left index finger from the times the knife slipped and cut me.

Got my first ever BJ from an older gal who waited tables there.

I worked there until I started college and would take weekend shifts sometimes during the summers when I was home from college even though I had different jobs during the week. They let me wait tables then since I was more "mature".

Before that I had an afternoon paper route for a couple of years, but that did not require me to clock in. It did require me to go door to door each month to collect money. I kept my own books. It was a great learning experience.

First real job with a paycheck was Baskin-Robbins on University Blvd across the street from Rice stadium.

That was before high school.

Worked as a lifeguard at the Country Club we belonged to throughout high school. Kind of a right of passage for the older kids who went to that particular club. Also worked for the catering company attached to the country club for weddings and such. Used to make, what I thought, was incredible money at the time.

As a senior, I worked at B. Dalton in Oakwood Mall. I loved it so much.

A&P bag boy tips ranged from zero to 25 cents. Most were a nickel or a dime. A quarter tip was from my grandmother.

I spent 2 summers working in Destin, used to make bank serving tables. Would average $150 on a slow day and this was the late 2000's.

Also got to meet lots of foreign women who came for the seasonal work visa. Lots of Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Mexican women.

Sonic when I was 15. Lasted about 3 months at that hell hole. Worked on a baw's farm afterwards until I turned 18 and started residential construction.
