I was a crew driver for a towing company (towboats/tugboats). I would take the company credit card, go to Albertsons, buy a ton of groceries, go to the office and pick up a crew and drive from Baton Rouge to Baytown, Texas, I'd drop the crew off, unload the groceries on the boat, turn around and drive back to Baton Rouge. 3 days a week/ about 45 hour a week as I recall.

Rax Roast Beef Restaurant.
It was a great job that I had for close to six years. We had fun and worked hard. The chain mostly went out of business but there are still a few restaurants I think in Ohio. Kind of like Arby’s but much better food.

Retail at a department store. I learned to hate the public at an early age.

fast food burger joint - I strongly believe that everyone should work in food service at some point early in their life; it's eye opening what goes on behind the scenes when you go out to eat

Busboy at Mande’s Restaurant in Mandeville circa 1998. Free home fries. Smuggled vodka once. Good times.

I was lucky enough to have an in with the city Rec department so I had a rotation of scorekeeping softball/basketball, teaching football to kids, and being a playground leader from 9-8:30 all summer. Even in college I did work study at the front desk of my dorm. Summer was a mix of RA for the HS honors kids, playground leader, and nights at a video store. I did spend a couple of weeks working at Taco Bell but could not stand the HS dropout staff/asst management.
None of it prepared me for life after college. Especially when it meant going from that to working at a tech company.

Bagger/stocker at Bobben’s in Maringouin.
Worked with some great folks, up until I was let go for bringing a young lady in the back and getting a stinky finger.
