Watched Train Dreams on Netflix last year and thought it was the best movie of the year. It was based on a novella from Denis Johnson. Did some digging and it sounds like hes got some real solid non-fiction works. Fans of Cormac like him alot. Went to B&N and picked up Angels, Fiskadoro, Jesus' Son and Tree of Smoke. Anybody read any of his stuff and have any favorites?
I know several pages back James Islington's 2 trilogies were talked about. Was thinking about making these my next fantasy read once i finish some of Denis Johnson's stuff. Without going back and digging how were these?
I think they did a worldwide poll several years ago and 10 won as the overall fave

Filling out the hoodie
Last week of summer stacked. Been working a shite load so kinda took it easy and only went 3-4 days a week so pretty much just maintained. Nice, basic PPL program. It does use the German 10x10 format some days which I’m not a huge fan of but it wasn’t every workout like jacked up joker which was miserably boring. Also a great program for time restraint as all the workouts are 60 min or less.
My right rotator cuff has been giving me issues to where I couldn’t even do the OH barbell press. I may take a break from the barbell and do DB strength next or go to a 3 day like stronger than a garlic milkshake since I’m about to go on turnaround and sleep will be at a premium

I was surprised at how low everybody had it as well. I used to get crushed for saying I thought OG 7 was overrated. Now it seems like that’s the common consensus.
If anybody is looking for a trippy standalone light read I just finished Water Moon and enjoyed it
About a chick who runs her dad’s pawn shop which exists in a different dimension and takes in peoples past regrets. Her dad goes missing and she goes on an Alice in wonderland type trip through this realm to find him finding out secrets of her world along the way. Pretty entertaining. I was looking for something exactly like this after finished 3k pages of Shelby foote’s civil war trilogy lol

Big cliff hanger at the end of ep 2. Marsden has been a great addition. He pulls off the douchey rich guy vibe really well.
The only thing I haven’t liked about this season is how quickly he told Barney about his secret in ep 1 after spending the whole first season going through great lengths to keep it from him. He didnt even tell them after they got jumped and put in the hospital and now he immediately calls him when he throws his back out? Seemed like they decided they needed to include Barney immediately to add another layer to the story

Was debating on picking this up tomorrow. I bought Crimson Desert on release day just to ultimately decide it wasn’t for me. I just don’t have the time a game like that requires anymore. This seems like more my speed.

Bogdan and Jan are rematching at UFC 328 after their draw back in December. If Bogdan wins he could maybe factor in?
Only other fighter in that class on any type of streak is Dustin Jacoby but hes ranked #14. Khalil, Azamat, Ankalaev, Jiri, are all coming off losses. Hill is washed and is out with knee surgery. Reyes was super unimpressive tonight. Oezdemir has won 3 of his last 4 and went the distance with Ulberg but his ceiling is pretty low.
This weight class sucks.
