Fritz has beaten Zverev 7 in a row going into todays matchup. That's pretty crazy. Guess he just matches up well with him.

AMC Dolby Cinema. Imax does not have recliners here
I went with standard 70mm. Should be a cool experience, just hope the projector dosent shite out
Kudos to those that plan these trips so far ahead. My wife and I have never planned anything more than 3 months in advance . Just got back from a 10 day Africa trip that we somehow threw together in 2 months notice

I haven’t committed to anything since beating Doom Dark Ages in November. Tried to start up GOW (2018) and crimson desert but neither one of them stuck. Been debating on getting this or finally giving Kingdom Come Deliverance a shot. KCD was $5 on ps store so gonna give it a shot but I’ll have my eye on this.

Think the Kavanagh v Royval fight might be a good one.
This is the one I’m having the most trouble with. Royval looked great in his loss against Van and gave him probably the best fight of his youn career but he’s getting up there. Lone’r is a young up and comer but he hasn’t really fought anybody yet. Leaning Royval for now

I like the Pimblett v St. Denis matchup but St. Denis has never really impressed me.
Same. I’m shocked he’s favored. His a KO artist and if Justin couldn’t KO paddy I don’t think Denis will. I expect paddy to get him to the ground and grind him out
I don’t expect Conor to win. He focuses to much on just traditional boxing instead of his old school muai Thai style when he was sleeping people that made him quicker and more well rounded. He’s been like this since the poirer fights and it makes him more flat footed and 1 dimensional. My one hope is it’s a big jump for Max. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong but idk if he’s ever fought at welter. Conor at the very least should still have his power and maybe max’s chin has weakened since the Ilia KO

Dude you’ve used this same tired argument anytime his name pops up in any MMA thread and you still refuse to acknowledge that Aldo was in his prime and the best fighter on the planet when he got slept in 8 seconds. Nobody cares about this hill you love to die on anymore.

Yeah I’m sorry I started this thread. I forget how weird this board is sometimes. Even if you don’t like the casting Nolan deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point

Running PS1 again definitely want to try hyper-trophy soon though
Reading it now and he makes a great point on how the structure of the poem fits Nolan’s non-linear style perfectly. I didn’t realize it’s mostly told in flashbacks until I started reading it and it jumps around a lot from Odysseus at the end of his journey back to how he started the journey.
In what format are you seeing The Odyssey?

It was shot entirely on imax cameras for 70mm Imax screens meaning any other format will be somewhat cropped. Problem is there is like 10 of those in the whole country and none close to Louisiana. So we have a few different options here.
Standard imax-will give you the next largest screen next to 70mm imax (both baton rouge AMCs)
standard 70mm-cinemark in perkins rowe will be showing it in this. Old school projector that will have incredible detail but will be cropped more than imax
dolby- arguably the best audio-picture combo and only slightly more cropped than standard imax (amc oneal)
Leaning standard imax but alot of redditors swear by Dolby. 70mm sounds like a good way to see it, and the way Nolan intended it to be seen, but i cant get over how much the top will be cropped. Still cant decide but want to get tickets soon, the 70mm is selling fast.

As much as I like Connor I don’t see him winning. It’s been so long since he was last in the octagon. Max has consistently been fighting while Connor has been living it up. If Connor was making a full on return it might be different but he has made so much money he isn’t coming back full time.
I agree but my heart wont let me bet against him

finished DB strength 2 a couple weeks ago before i went on vacation. Awesome program with great results especially my quads with all the RFESS and goblet squats. I got acclimated to the cardio aspect of it about halfway through and it wasnt as hard the back half.
Been on a 2 week break since my trip to Africa but i didnt lose much muscle because we ate so damn much. Trying to decide what to start back on tomorrow.
pool season 1
21 to party
hyper-trophy
big back billy
ive done PS1 several times, i love what it does to my shoulders and its just a great summer program. Did big back billy once a couple years ago and loved it, just gotta get your mind right for all the deads. Have never done 21 to party and hyper-trophy

Anytime
The huge one by Dutchtown is my home gym since its on my way home from my work in Geismar. It gets packed with all the plant baws but its big enough to hold them. I think its one of the biggest anytimes in the country, its a great gym.
I go to the one by whole foods in BR when im off. It's pretty laid back. Nothing but old retired bocage regulars in there chatting it up on the machines. I like it as well.
I have to have a 24 hour gym since i work shift work

Was front row for Paul at hangout fest in 2011. 21 year old me had no idea who he was, just wanted to get drunk/stoned and get a good spot for a headliner. He blew me and my friends away. You could hear a pin drop when he played sounds of silence.
Shoutout to the cool people around me that didn’t mind me pissing in beer cans and bury them in the sand so I wouldn’t lose my spot going to the pisser

Depends on where you’re going
For the most part the answer is a light itenerary that allows for chill days while still planning on seeing the stuff you want to see or activities you want to do.
My wife is the same way. I’m more of a wing it guy but she wants everything planned out. We’re pretty well travelled so I guess we make it work.
Posting this from Africa on one of the “chill days” btw
