Can’t think about the N64 without thinking about OOT. I never played it but it was the game all my friends and cousins received Christmas morning with their n64 along with Mario 64 so I was always watching them play

I got Bomberman, Rampage, and Gex with mine
Did my wedding suit with Harper and Jones this past year and they nailed it. It’s not a walk in store you have to set up a private appointment. I met with a young lady named Lakan and she knocked it out the park. Ivory Italian suit that i was nervous wouldn’t fit right because my body changes so much from working out but it ended up perfect. It’s costs though. I paid $2800 and that was on the lower end

Anytime I describe that movie to somebody I have to start with “this is going to sound boring but…”

I think it’s probably his best acting performance and I was engaged as frick for it just being a guy in a car putting out fires the whole time

1. Ex Machina
2. Good Time
3. Warfare
4. American Honey
5. Mississippi Grind
6. Locke
7. Hereditary
8. The Lighthouse
9. The Brutalist
10. Green Room

Honorable Mention:
Janet Planet
Love Lies Bleeding
The Green Knight
Uncut Gems
Skin
The Spectatcular now
Marty Supreme
The smashing machine
Friendship
High Life

This thread popped up about a year ago so I looked back at my answer and had to tweak it some by adding The Brutalist and Warfare.

Love this studio, but I think they’re starting to become watered down. They used to only release a handful of niche movies a year now it seems like every big release is A24

Kinda like Roma back in 2018 also from Alfonso Cuaron. What a snooze fest that was

Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001)

Noticed this pretty high up on that “Forbes top 100 movies of the 2000s” list that was posted last summer and that it was on Netflix. Got around to it last night.

Pretty much a soft core porn but it’s pretty solid as far as Mexican cinema goes. Coming of age story of 2 horny hs grads traveling to a make believe beach with a recent young divorcee. Could have gone without the 2 friends making out at the end but other than that I thought it was good. Captures rural Mexico in the 90s really well and the scenes at the beach are great
Last week of Gamma Bomb this week. Finished all 14 weeks just before my wedding this weekend. Amazing and fun program.

Will start off by admitting I tweaked the middle part when it got to the 2 weeks deload. I had my bachelor party the week before the deload so I took a week off of lifting and just considered that my deload and jumped right into the 2nd half which was week 9. I think it worked out well

Pros:

-mixes it up really well with no 2 workouts being exactly the same. Keeps it fresh and fun

-it’s intense but doable for nattys like myself. I see a lot of people say his programs are too intense for nattys which may be true for some of them but I think this one is just right

-if you want to take your legs to the next level this is for you. My legs have never looked so insane and been so conditioned. Weeks 9-14 switched to legs twice a week which is a game changer if you don’t puss out. I’ll admit I couldn’t complete most of the legs days on scorpion they were just to much but I gutted every single one of these out and it shows. The last leg day of the plan was 2 hours long yesterday and I did it no problem. I think I’ve acclimated to the pain

-working in some tough core work twice a week was nice and I actually see at least an outline of some muscle under there now  it’s easy to skip this as it comes at the end of an intense back day and arm day but I made sure I did them and glad I did

-weeks 1-5 really shaped my chest well as it does a full chest day then an upper body pump day on satirdays. If I were to re do the program I may consider just running weeks 1-5 on loop because my chest needs the most work

Cons:

-this is kinda a give and take from a couple pros stated above: the 2nd half when swapping to legs twice a week really gave me a sick lower body but it was at a slight sacrifice of my upper, mainly chest. My body style needs chest twice a week no matter how tough the 1 workout is. Not complaining much tho because of how happy I am with my legs

-the band work can get annoying/tedious. I’m an idiot when it comes to setting some of these up to where I eventually say frick and just don’t do it. Some that I did I didn’t really feel a difference (leg press) however some did feel really good (barbell RDL)

-this isn’t an issue for me as I love programs that aren’t the same thing over and over but I’ve noticed people on reddits main complaint of this program is he switches it up TOO much not allowing you to really learn an exercise and your muscle to build from it, even only doing some things one time (deadlifts). This dosent bother me but figured I’d include it

-not a huge fan of the single arm barbell rows, they’re awkward as hell and John seems to love them. Doing them on a smith machine does help though if you can get it low enough

-this is just a me thing but my right shoulder did start bothering me towards the end. This could be from the chest-shoulder combo he uses on tuesdays or it could be from his absolute love of barbell incline which is every week. Or it could just be a freak thing

Summary:

Awesome program if you can stick with the 14 weeks. Especially if you want to build that lower body. Would definitely recommend. For sure need a full gym and bands to get the full effect

I may switch back to PPSA next and try summer stacked. I’ve been missing PPSA. I don’t want to lose all my leg gains tho so we’ll see
Those were before my time so for me it was the 2019 OT win at home over #5 ranked Tennessee during the Wade era. We found out Waters was out right before tip and Smart subbed in and had the game of his life. Only time I’ve seen the PMAC completely packed. Amazing atmosphere
If I recall correctly, they had an 18 wheeler that tried to make a U turn onto the service road by the Waffle House coming from the interstate and got stuck and it made it a shite show getting in and out. I think that’s why we were late
From about 08-11 Thursday midnight movie features were me and my cousins shite. He lived right down the road from the oneal Rave (back then). We’d ride around his neighborhood and smoke a blunt then head there. Saw a lot of great movies at midnight at that rave as a teen

Off the top of my head

The Dark Knight
Inglorious Bastards
The Strangers
Paranormal Activity

I don’t think we’ll ever see a movie event like The Dark Knight again. The parking lot at that oneal theatre is massive it stretches back along the interstate a couple 100 yards. Not exaggerating when I say that’s the only time I’ve seen it completely full and every theatre in the house was dedicated to The Dark Knight. You got your ticket and had to just find one that wasn’t jam packed. We fricked ourselves and showed up late and had to sit in the very front

Take "Lawless." He's overshadowed by everyone else in the movie.

I mean sure he played co-star to Tom Hardy.

He was arguably the best part of Fury. American Honey was great. Borg vs McEnroe, the peanut butter falcon, honey boy, Salvable. I can’t really think of anything he’s sucked in. Even transformers and disturbia were entertaining back in the day. He’s pretty widely considered to be a top notch actor, he just dosent have the box office hits tha most top notch actors do because he’s hard to work with and he’s a shite show

Flying to Cancun Thursday. Not really worried about it. PV and Guadalajara are a long ways away from there. They never frick with the Yucatán
Pretty sad to see. I think he’s an incredible actor and thought he had turned it around after the podcast he did with Jon Bernthal a few years ago. Hopefully he can get his shite together. It’s pretty wild that with all that money he just goes lone wolf in a pair of vans and a t shirt to grunge bars lol

Watched one of his recent Indie movies on prime a few months ago and thought it was great

Salvable
Locked in for Crimson Desert March 19. Haven’t really played anything since finishing Doom:Dark ages and EXP33 back in October so I’m ready to dive back into a long rpg.

Tried Outer Wilds about a month ago off a friends rec who loves indie games. Wasn’t really my thing
This is un fricking believable we’re flying to Mexico for our wedding Thursday and just enrolled in pre check because we’re bringing so much shite with us :banghead:
 Strickland vs Khamzat would definitely be hype
Best Sean has looked in a long time. I way overrated Fluffy
I saw Iron Lung and thought it was really great. Never played the game
Just came to post that it’s a good thing tacky is no longer here he’d be melting over that tribute
Damn that was on the money. Probably could have let the bell save him though
