re: Has anyone had to move their elderly parents in with you?

We moved my MIL in almost exactly a year ago. Memories issues and very slow getting around. Turned the largest spare bedroom into her room with bed, recliner that can raise her up, tv etc.
Youngest still in college so that empty nest didn't last long
You have to get the routine down; my wife is able to take her to work one day a week and we work half days 2 other. The other 2 days we have a friend come in for couple hours to fix her lunch and hang out for little while. Night and morning routines are down and no surprises there.
Have your ducks in a row as far their medical. A UTI will show up out of no where and you'll need to know what to do.
Plan ahead for family or others to come in periodically to give ya'll time to go out, take a long weekend etc. We're lucky my wife as 3 other sisters that will fly in to let us take a vacation or weekend get away. Without that it would be real hard.

Any of you do any blind tests at home?
Couple days ago did my first one, only been drinking bourbon about 6 months so haven't developed ability to pick out all these notes, I just like it or don't. Have 15-16 bottles now  and nothing over $60. Picked what I like drinking lately and did a blind. First mistake, 6 was too many for me and probably messed up rankings doing that.
The 6 were: Riff Single Barrel, Russell 10 year, 1910, Michters Rye, Michters American Whiskey, and Woodford Reserve DO.
Had an idea what the order would be and I was way off.
My results in order of preference:
1910
Michters American Whiskey
Russells 10
Michters Rye
WR DO
Riff Single Barrell
Top 2 were much better than others; and Riff was easily last which really surprised me.

Happy Friday! A newbie but like all the Michters so far

No way in hell, I have to live here around these folks. It would be insufferable

. Fasting is the only thing that works for myself.
Complete game changer for myself. Had a family wedding 6 weeks ago and I looked at the pictures and was embarrassed. I'm not a big guy, some would say I didn't need to lose weight but I had let myself go and was sitting here 25lbs too heavy. I'm 52 so I couldn't think about losing a few pounds and it fall off like I could at 30.
Started 18:6 fasting and cut out sugar, that's about it. Have had a few get-togethers where I eat/drink what I want which has slowed the process but that's fine too. Down 14 pounds and it's been so easy; once past day 3-4 I don't really think about food or have the cravings. Last 3 Tuesdays I've done a 24 hour fast which has helped.
I binged some podcasts, mainly Diary of a CEO. Interviews on fasting/diet/keto are plenty and very motivating for me.
Patrick looking at meat down the middle. Great athlete with good looking swing but has a ways to go. These at bats will pay off next year
That’s enough BS for me. Sleep way more important than watching this disaster
You can’t make it up how bad this team is. There’s your starting 3rd baseman.

Jay is going to try to find a player much better than Pearson
I’d love for Pearson to lock a position down but it didn’t happen. He’s either gonna have to be a pinch hitter/backup guy or be a Warhawk

To the original question. Had 100% conference going into this season. Yes, this season has diminished that a little, how can it not. Probably at 85% now.

Smoke has gotten way too much hate comparing this terrible team to his tenure.
Walker questioning Yeskie as delicate as possible.

I have Kobalt 80v things (mower, weed eater) so I got the chainsaw when it went on a daily deal. Used it last weekend to take out 20 feet of big arse holly bushes, it worked great. No big tree experiences yet. Oil is a bit drippy where you set it down, so I store accordingly.
Same set up for me. I've used to take down and cut up some decent sized oaks. I have 3 batteries and go can all day with replacing/charging if need be. Had mine for 5 years without a hiccup.

Red wasps are worse than yellow jackets and bees imo.
True sting for sting. Never been just stung once by a yellow jacket, usually get hit 6-8 times by those bastards before I even know whats happened. Usually while bush hogging.
