Quit whining like a little bitch. If someone's passing a vehicle to their right, they're not obligated to figure out what needs to be done to save you 5 seconds. Your mommy was wrong - your penis won't shrink and your masculinity won't be diminished.

I also have the same question about the folks who don't use the turnouts when driving up a mountain pass.
can’t help you with this one since it doesn’t happen in Louisiana much

Why won't these people just get over?

Because the last 20 times they did this, the guy that was just riding their bumper like he couldn’t wait to accelerate decides to go only 1mph faster—or sometimes not faster at all—thus trapping the Good Samaritan behind the truck. The number of times this happens every time I’m on the road has made me into a jerk that just stays in the passing lane until I’m done passing everyone I intend to pass. If I’m doing 80, calm tf down or pull one your silly right hand passing maneuvers. You’re not trapping me behind a truck for my attempt to let you by.

It's because they're too stupid and they never learned any better. It's the same people who don't turn right on red.

I told my near-driving age son that it's not him I'm necessarily worried about. It's the people who are too stupid that you share the road with.

Then they speed up to box you in, if they see you coming up in the right lane

Thing in my area that is really bad is some people evidently cannot pass tractor trailers while going up a mountain.

These morons will have no one in front of them but they get beside a tractor trailer that is struggling to pull a grade and they slow down almost to the speed of the truck. Almost like rubberneckers looking at wrecks.

Another issue at this same spot, this mountain has a traffic light at the foot of it on a 4 lane highway. People will pull over in the left lane to get out from behind the truck that is/was caught at the light, but then they keep dropping back and letting people in the right lane cut in front of them.

I bet you're already speeding behind that car,and wanting to speed even more, endangering all the other drivers on the road....

What's the logic with people who think it's okay to speed?

I'm just being contrarian, but I do have a point.

Mr Venn is useful here to pick this apart into it’s rightful pieces.

They may indeed be inconsiderate morons.(violet)

They might be only morons.(blue)

They alternatively may only be inconsiderate folks.(red)

If they’re from Texas traveling on I-10/I-12 in Louisiana, the probability is high that they are indeed the hybrid “inconsiderate moron” variety.

Interstate? I agree. City driving? Meh, I might have to make a left turn in a minute.

I’m pretty sure this entire conversation is about interstate/open highway driving

I still contend that 18 wheeler drivers that cruise in the left should be sentenced to no less that 5 years in prison

Well, in your apparently original example of 1.5 mile difference, your hypothetical is completely warranted. Of course get the frick over. If it's only 1/4 mile like you've edited to, then this is idiotic. I'll pass that 2nd semi in another 2 min, then get over. I'm not getting over between the two if we're talking about less than a 1/4 mile separation on the interstate. Stupid

It has been repeatedly proven that slower drivers produce more accidents than faster drivers.
quote:

Studies show that drivers who travel 10 miles below the speed limit are six times more likely to cause accidents. This risk increases because slower driving can lead to congestion and sudden braking from other drivers, heightening the chances of collisions.

YOU are the problem. Get the frick out of the passing lane, like state law says you're required to do.
quote:

Sec. 545.051. DRIVING ON RIGHT SIDE OF ROADWAY. (a) An operator on a roadway of sufficient width shall drive on the right half of the roadway, unless:

(1) the operator is passing another vehicle;

ETA: Because you're a selfish prick, I'll point out that nowhere in the transportation code is there any mention of speed, speed limits, "only on interstates" or anything other than GET TO THE RIGHT IF SAFE and ABLE.

Some think they're going camping in La-la land.

I've seen signs like this all along I-10 from Mississippi to Florida.

So your dumbass thinks it's ok to just cruise in the left lane for 2 minutes while you pass no one?

The stupidity of the general populace never ceases to amaze me.

Take a trip to Europe and rent a car and drive on their interstates. I drove all over Spain for a week and I literally did not pass a single person who was in the left lane the entire week b/c everyone drives in the right lane except to pass, like you're supposed to.
I just drove I-12 from BR to Hammond. I passed at least 50 cars who were just cruising in the left lane.
