I’ve gotten very good at guessing the demographics of a driver just by what they’re driving and how they’re driving. The types of people who can’t figure out that the left lane isn’t for cruising are consistently the same.

Just because you’re turning left 10 minutes from now does not mean you can cruise in the left lane all afternoon.

I wish I had an answer for you but unfortunately don't. I used to hang in the left lane for far too long but, as I've gotten older, I get over after passing either a car or truck. The thing that I find frustrating is when two trucks are side by side pretty much going the same speed or those that travel in the left lane.

There is another truck 1/4 mile ahead. I’m going 5 mph faster than it, but you want to go 10 mph faster so you want me to get over. The problem is there may be 15 more cars behind you that only want to go 1 mph faster and now I’m stuck and can’t get back over. It’s a guessing game every time but in this particular situation you want to me cost myself 10 minutes to save you 5 seconds. I’m not doing it.

This . . . Plus there is usually another car in front of me preventing me from going my desired speed.

Don’t lump the rest of America with Louisiana drivers.

Have a friend that is kin to a State Trooper. He got caught behind some of these pricks once that were doing this for many miles. He called ahead and they had a little State Trooper surprise waiting for them up the road.

So your dumbass thinks it's ok to just cruise in the left lane for 2 minutes while you pass no one?

2 min is a gross exaggeration. I said less than. We're talking about less than 1/4 mile. Maybe 30 seconds to a minute to pass that 2nd truck on the interstate. I usually go about 80 mph. If you're riding my arse like Seabiscuit when Im hauling at 10+mph over the limit on I75 passing two semis at less than 1/4 mile apart and can't wait 30 seconds, you're the fricking a-hole, not me douchebag. frick off prick.

It’s people who set their cruise control on what they feel is an acceptable law breaking speed and refuse to speed up or slow down to accommodate any other driver. They have set the limit around them. Justifications are their inconvenience and not changing what they have decided is acceptable.

fricking retards.

1. I'll camp in the left lane on older roads that have heavy truck traffic in the right lane causing a rough ride when I'm hauling horses.
2. I'm not sure anyone knows how to use cruise control anymore bc vehicles pass me very quickly and then slow down for no reason a few seconds after they pass.
3. I hope drivers of cars that pass me and then slow down when they get along another vehicle going slower in the right lane die a very slow and painful death. The sooner the better.
4. I get irrationally angry when pulling a trailer on the interstate because of the above reasons. People suck.

THIS! Also people going well below the limit like 60 forcing even slow traffic into the left lane.

It has been repeatedly proven that slower drivers produce more accidents than faster drivers.
quote:
Studies show that drivers who travel 10 miles below the speed limit are six times more likely to cause accidents. This risk increases because slower driving can lead to congestion and sudden braking from other drivers, heightening the chances of collisions.

YOU are the problem. Get the frick out of the passing lane, like state law says you're required to do.
quote:
Sec. 545.051. DRIVING ON RIGHT SIDE OF ROADWAY. (a) An operator on a roadway of sufficient width shall drive on the right half of the roadway, unless:

(1) the operator is passing another vehicle;

ETA: Because you're a selfish prick, I'll point out that nowhere in the transportation code is there any mention of speed, speed limits, "only on interstates" or anything other than GET TO THE RIGHT IF SAFE and ABLE.

Who said anything about driving 10 mph below the speed limit or hanging out in the fast lane.

Good job just making up shite you think I said.... you need to work on your debating skills... badly..

Depends. Are you one of those jack holes that gets right up on someone's tail and tries to make them get over? If so I'm staying in the lane. BUT If I do see you coming but you aren't being an idiot I'll gladly get over. Otherwise break check is coming

I'm not debating anything, you are simply wrong according the to laws of multiple states.

You made the usual gump arse anecdote about all those out for a Sunday drive aren't dangers, it's those speed racers, they're the real risk! I refuted it. I am on the Interstate, every day, and constantly encounter people doing 10mph (or more) less than the speed limit, in every single lane of travel.

No you didn't. You brought up people driving 10mph under the limit. Nobody said anything about driving that slow. You pulled that out of your arse like the rest of your argument. I used the standard 65mph speed limit as my example. That's not 10 mph under the limit is it? Why do you keep bringing up 10 mph under to me? Seriously why? Because you're retarded? You've done it twice.

Again, learn to debate, gump arse, whatever that means... I'm in North Carolina. I don't even live in Alabama. See how terrible you are at debating... You can't even get that right.

I'm commute on the interstate every day as well on I40. No idea why you think that gives you any credit to your argument...

If you can't understand posts and words, let's go ahead and end this discussion.

I have no problem getting over. What I have a problem with is when I’m trying to pass a slower vehicle, but before I can pass and safely return to the right lane, some jackwang rides up on my bumper doing 90
