You can rent a space and pile in a bunch of kids and it’s cheap. If they don’t drink there’s no return. My college son told me they do this.
They need to up their rates or add a minimum drink/food charge.

All I had growing up was Putt-Putt. The OG one.
Kids today are so spoiled.

Only a matter of time before TG in BR is gone. Once the “Teens” start patronizing a place like this, the shine wears off and its fate is sealed.

That’s how it is everywhere and how it’s always been everywhere. Nothing has changed since inception. It was always expensive and now it’s more expensive due to inflation.

Model was still same, overcharge, shite food and drinks, upselling and corporate bs
That model was likely the result of consultant recommendations since Callaway had no idea how to run an entertainment/food and beverage company. You can’t blame PE for the downfall of Topgolf. Callaway should have stuck to golf equipment and apparel.

Must be a gen xer. I see things the same exact way.
Somehow our population has grown to expect shitty service and mediocrity. We have imported 3rd world values here.
It amazes me how businesses deliver truly shitty experiences, yet people still line up to hand over their money.
Call centers, workers on their phones, employees that can’t figure anything out.
The gears of this machine are worn out.

It's the golf equivalent of a bowling alley.

they lay out a bunch of cash and build a big facility and it is nice at first and the staff is good and as time goes on the crowd trickles in and you have shootings in the parking lot and the staff doesn't want to work there anymore and you get bad staff which makes the good clientele leave and then it becomes a shell of what it was but there is still a big loan on the space and it was designed so specialized that no other business can buy it and it creeps along until the plug is pulled
Man, stop, take a deep breath, relax and use a period here and there.

Coming from a golfer
It's pretty meh. Work would pay for us to all go every now and then. I would never pay for it. It's pretty lame.
Bowling is 100% better IMO

But I’ve never known it to be hood / trashy. Just overpriced. Which I assume would keep the riff raff out.
I guess you’ve never driven through the hood and seen a Cadillac Escalade worth more than the trailer they’re living in.
