Went to Top Golf tonight and was appalled.

Lots of squatted trucks, neck tats, hood rats and hillbillies. It was like Livingston Parish meets North Baton Rouge.

Golf was fun and the beer was cold. But service was bad. Food took forever and was meh. Had to ask twice for silverware and napkins. Waitress was ratchet and staring at her phone propped against the wall. Next to the person who I suspect was the manager….also leaning against the wall doom scrolling. Plus, was over $120 for 3 people.

Will have to try Golf Suites next time.

Wasn’t owned by private equity until a few months ago.

Louisiana is the afghanistan of private equity "fun" places. They even got drew brees suckered in even though he was forced to live here for like 20 years and should've known better. Even when they think it's a concept like golf that you wouldn't think the locals would go to it still ends up like everything else

they lay out a bunch of cash and build a big facility and it is nice at first and the staff is good and as time goes on the crowd trickles in and you have shootings in the parking lot and the staff doesn't want to work there anymore and you get bad staff which makes the good clientele leave and then it becomes a shell of what it was but there is still a big loan on the space and it was designed so specialized that no other business can buy it and it creeps along until the plug is pulled

But I’ve never known it to be hood / trashy. Just overpriced. Which I assume would keep the riff raff out.

I’ve never been to top golf

Did y’all drink? I’ve always heard it’s super expensive, but 120 doesn’t seem that bad for dinner+golf for 3 people, if drinking is involved

Went there Saturday night. Hot honey pepperoni pizza was legit. (Ok wasn’t hot but it was good). Black gay waiter was horrible. Never checked back on us until 10 minutes before our time was up. Don’t get bay 307 as they have not replaced the overhead lighting.

I mean 3 draft beers between 2 people. And some wings and fries. So not partying or anything crazy.

Had this several months ago and it was actually good.

Same experience with the service then as well. Checked on us once outside of taking our order and getting the bill.

It's way cheaper to go to the driving range. Top Golf is for people who don't know how to golf and don't plan on golfing in the future.

Nah. Poor people always seem to find money for entertainment.

Yeah, the couple of times I’ve been to Golf Suites it’s been better. Better food, better service , for half the price.

It’s just August and A/C is a plus at Top Golf. Never again.
